Locked out...
We arrived at the property about an hour prior to check in. We messaged the owner and unfortunately they were firm on move in time. To enter the home there was a key pad with a 4 digit code. Our first impression of the house was... old. The decor and odor of the house gave the impression that it had been closed up for awhile. Upon further investigation the house was dusty but not dirty. The single beds were comfortable with extra padding and the bedding was clean. The kitchen had most necessities to cook but the refrigerator and stove/oven were miniature. It states that in the description of the house. The backyard lacks any appeal. No seating to enjoy the sunshine. Our last night on the property was a disaster. After a very long day we were tired and couldn't wait to shower and rest. When we got to the house at 11:30pm we attempted the code but it didn't work. We tried for 20 minutes to unlock the door and it wouldn't unlock. We tried locking it then unlocking it. I recorded us trying this over and over. We decided to contact the property owner to no avail. We called approximately a dozen times over the next half hour. We tried emailing him too but nothing. We did not know what to do. We were locked out of the house with no way to get in. It was after midnight at this point and we had an early flight the next day.
