“The barn is situated on a family farm with the owner, Wendy, living in a neighbouring property. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by Wendy, a lovely welcome pack with cake, biscuits and fudge and even treats for our dog. Nothing is too much trouble and the cottage is equipped with all you could need and more. Although there were only two of us when we travelled, it is very spacious and would be ideal for a larger family with ample parking right outside and a lovely courtyard garden area.”

“Countryside cottage in a very quiet location. Easy to find and only a few miles to the local village. Everything that we needed.”

“This was, by far the worst place we have ever rented and we have rented a lot of places. It was filthy. There were mouse droppings in the kitchen cupboards and in the one small pot and one small pan we were to used for cooking (believe me there was no cooking done in them!) there was a dirty pizza encrusted pan in the oven. Dust and cobwebs hung everywhere. The yard was totally unkempt and nothing like the photos. Sad too, because underneath the neglect, were the bones of a beautiful garden....

“Lovely welcoming hosts David and Mandy were very helpful. The cottage was clean and well appointed and very comfortable. The garden was secure for our dogs. It's a very peaceful location and gave us a very relaxing holiday . Highly recommended.”

“Lovely house every thing was fantastic about this house a small issue with hot water but contacted owners and issue was sorted immediately couldn’t fault this place and will definitely be returning in the future 😁”

“Beautiful house, lots of extras like air fryer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and even spare dog towel. Could just do with blind in ensuite. Location was brilliant two minute walk from prom/beach. T.v signal was bit hit and miss but we were out most of time in sunshine.”

“We stayed in Barkers for a week in early July. The cottage is well presented, neat and tidy with good quality appliances that all worked. There were only two of us but it would comfortably accommodate four people. There is a pub across the road and a shop 50 yards away. The only negatives for us was that the road it is on is moderately busy and the front bedroom with a Velux window was noisier than I would have liked from 6am to 9 am; the back bedroom was fine.In summary it was good value...
