“The Guinness Arms had character rooms and the hallway was just as nice. Our room had aircon and also a skylight which had retractable blinds if you wanted to look at the sky or not. Room was clean and cosy with coffee and tea facilities. A bottle of water was also supplied with a selection of biscuits. Iron and board in cupboard for those who want to sort the creases out. “Staff were very helpful even found me an iron as we were going to a family wedding. The rooms were clean and tidy, and comfy bed. They thought of everything yoghurts, butter, bread milk, juice, cereal if you require an early start. Otherwise a beautifully cooked English breakfast by Duncan all fresh produce and tea or coffee. Would deffo stay there again👍”

“The property was very dated, with a need of a deep clean and decor update. Carpets were stained and our particular room had a unpleasent smell. Overall the property has seen better days, I guess this is reflected in a lower than average room price for the area. Staff however were very friendly and although we did not eat a main meal, the portions looked generous and other guests appeared content. Suggest read the available reviews and make you own decision.”

“I booked to stay one night with a chance I might need a second night. Room was a separate wooden chalet. Door very difficult to open. Small bathroom with shower a bit difficult to access unless you have long legs. Mirror near toilet not easy to see. Glad I didn’t need to make up. Breakfast was a bag with croissant and porridge to mix yourself and an apple. Jam, butter orange juice also provided but juice not very nice and make your own coffee from Nescafé in room.
