“Have stayed a number of times over about 10 years or so - is consistently good. Staff are always friendly and helpful, food is excellent and very good local beer is available. The rooms are small but do what is needed and have always been clean. This is a proper traditional country pub and we need more of them!”

“Third time booking this hotel. Always lovely, clean, warm (radiators are always on before you arrive so the room is lovely and warm to get easy in). A lovely lady from concierge called me today to confirm my booking and ensure we had the details for the contactless check-in (access codes for the front door and key box) as we were due to arrive after she had left. Super friendly and welcoming. Room is lovely and clean, large comfy bed, clean bathroom and shower and even a space for cooking...

“We had a lovely stay. The facilities and staff are all brilliant. The pool and lake was a bit too cold for us in October but will be back in the summer. We had lots of little walks, family game time and enjoyed the boat in the lake. Our dog was in heaven swimming every day!”

Also there seemed to be a difference between the info on hotels dot com and the places own website. But other than that, the room was lovely, well equipped, clean, comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a good shower, and the room was warm on arrival, which was a nice touch. I appreciated the bonus of a fan and the ample wardrobe space.
