“The property is beautifully presented with some really thoughtful finishing touches for guests. The owner is extremely attentive in their communication. The pub is literally a short stagger away though the property remains private and feels like a real little sanctuary. Beautiful countryside surrounds and I thoroughly recommend this cottage.”

“I really like the people that run it ...you can have a laugh and a joke and their professional. I love the quirky old fashioned styling but it's done in a modern way. “This was a great spot to stay on our first night in Exeter! It's right in the center of town so you're really close to everything. There's also a pub downstairs/next door which was convenient. “The lobby, bar and restaurant have an elegant and timeless feel. I loved relaxing on the terrace with a cup of tea and a book. The room was large but my air conditioner didn’t work and the bed felt worn/old. I mentioned it to the desk and they put a mattress topper on the bed which really fixed the issue. “We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. Overall we enjoyed our stay....
