Great communication with host, a warm welcome and everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We have discovered that we love Matagorda and will hopefully return. Would highly recommend this property

Lovely place to stay, modern and clean, everything you can think of is there to use, shop literally steps away very handy. Was met by the owner who made us very welcome showed us where everything was, he explained to us he was getting work done on the next villa and if their were any issues to let him know and he would ask them to stop, it wasn't too bad but got a bit dusty at times, would have been good to know about the work going on before booking our holiday, having said that we still had an excellent holiday and would stay again. Phil & Rose.

Perfect Relaxing Break

Perfect relaxing week away. The property is 10 minutes from the airport, it’s simple to grab a taxi from outside the airport and get dropped right outside. There is also a taxi rank less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment so no need to book in advance for return journey. The instructions to find the keys and access the property couldn’t have been simpler. Jorge communicated each detail and it worked perfectly. The apartment is clean, well equipped for eating in, comfortable and quiet. There is a supermarket literally opposite the front gate (expensive but perfect for the initial basics) there is a cheaper Spar about 5-10 minutes walk opposite the beach. Location is perfect, an easy walk to the beach where there are restaurants, bars and some gift shops. I also booked a day trip and the coach collected me from the bus stop directly opposite the apartment. The terrace/garden area is perfect for sunbathing with the bonus of being able to pop inside for drinks/snacks or some cool respite from the rays. Travelling on my own it also felt very safe and secure with solid secure windows and doors plus a lockable gate on the roadside. I would recommend this apartment to anyone travelling alone, as a couple or a group of four. I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again if I decide to return to Lanzarote in the future.

Holiday September 2021

We have had a fantastic time in Lanzarote, Jorge has been a brilliant host, the property is beautifully presented. We originally booked the villa for March 2020 but the pandemic stopped our visit to the island. Jorge was extremely understanding and helped us by moving the dates for our stay 3 times due to ongoing changes in the UK Covid-19 rules & various lockdowns. Thank you for everything Jorge! We will be back to stay again.

We were lucky to spend over 4 weeks in this beautiful villa. The pictures are true to what it is like beautiful outside space was amazing so much of it. I would highly recommend this villa

Faultless Comfort

Having just had the privilege to spend a very relaxing eight days in this villa, on the plus side in a perfect location for a relaxing break, immaculate, clean, relaxing and near-perfect location. small faults that are in no way the fault of the villa or the owner, the local government had decided to completely re-modernise the beachfront walk . but I would hope by next year that will be completed and once again you will be able to cycle, walk or run without running into fairly major cement mixing and building works, I have to confess this is my second visit to this area and each time I find it more charming, relaxing and generally very convenient, to the owner I can only praise to the highest point of five stars or beyond, having to put up with my stroppy teenage children. my wife and I could happily spend more time in this area, but events in the UK may prevent this becoming a possibility, On a very positive note for any people coming here in the future, there are two new supermarkets located not far away a very well-stocked lidl, and a equally good Mecredona , located just off LZ1 , check out Google for location and directions, As this review is more about this apartment I could recommend this and will hope to come back in the not too distant future, as I was here in late October the weather was pleasant most days, the sea is still swim able in and as I will continue to mention location is ideal everything is within a reasonable walking distance including small mini markets, but I would recommend a car if you want to visit the island and the parking space for this villa is literally on your doorstep Thank you for allowing us to stay and have a very relaxing break here

The owner Jorge met us at the villa and showed us how everything worked. It is just as described modern and clean. Comfy beds. If you have any problems Jorge is very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Amazing Villa. Great Location. 5* PLUS.

We stayed at Villa Sonia for 11 Nights and loved every minute of our stay. Jorge met us on our arrival. He is a really nice guy and very informative too by showing us around the Villa and how to operate the Air con, Washing Machine and other electrical equipment. Jorge is the perfect host, very helpful and was showing us places of interest to visit around this Fabulous Island. Jorge is very quick at answering emails. The pictures you see are just as you can imagine this Villa. Beautifully decorated and very high quality fixtures and fittings. Beds are VERY comfortable and we slept very well every night of our stay (Air con in main bedroom) The windows are triple glazed and there was nothing that disturbed our sleep. W/C and shower room is fabulous. Kitchen area is just perfect. Fitted to a very high standard. The living room area with sofa and Tub chair are both very comfortable too. Tv, sound speaker and Air con in Living room area. It's also a very bright and spacious area. The outdoor area offers various seating and sunbathing areas and the outdoor furniture is very comfortable. A beautiful tree that acts as a natural parasol is an added bonus in the heat of the day for a bit of shade if required. Great Views over to the Mountains and great views for evening sunsets. We had the sun from about 8am till sunset just after 8pm at the beginning of September. Another added bonus was a private parking space for our Hire Car. We can not rate this Villa High enough and we will definitely be back and 100% recommend Villa Sonia. Once again, Thank you Jorge for everything and making our stay comfortable. Kindest Regards John.

Happy holiday

The villa was exactly as shown in the pictures. Jorge was there to meet us with lots of information on the villa and on Tías and Lanzarote. The location was great the main shops and restaurants were only a 5 min walk away. There is a small supermarket across the road which was very handy.

Fine location in a quieter part of Matagorda, but within easy reach of many bars and restaurants. Clean, tidy with all mod-cons! A relaxing two weeks!

Just Lovely!

We had a lovely week staying in this villa. The villa is well thought out and feels spacious inside. The kitchen and appliances are exceptionally good considering it’s a rental property. The linens were a high quality and really suited the decor. Lots of private space outside for sunbathing and eating on the terrace. Can’t fault anything about the accommodation.

Very clean and tidy and airy property with all you would need for a comfortable holiday.

The owner Jorge was very helpful throughout, with good clear communications. The property was perfect for two people, but there was limited amounts of hot water, probably because of the time of year and a dependency on solar heating. Some refreshing in some areas would further enhance the property. The outside area was huge and caught the sun all day. Really beneficial in the winter.

Thank You Jorge Nice to find such outstanding accommodation, attention to detail & quality are superb. Loved the location, every thing very convenient, from sea front promenade & beach, to nice quality restaurants all within 5 mins walk or 5-7 Euro Taxi ride in Puerto Del Carmen . Fantastic Villa

We have just returned from 8 nights in this lovely villa. We were met by Jorge who showed us around the villa & explained everything. The place was spotless & very modern; lovely sunsets on both terraces. Supermarket just a Across the road Sun on the villa all day & great sunsets. Fantastic villa

A beautifully presented villa in a quiet location in Matagorda. Refurbished to a high standard. Home from home with washing machine, towels, tv & a well equipped kitchen. Sun on the terraces all day. The bars & restaurants are just a few minutes walk away. There's a well stocked supermarket straight across the road, very handy. Jorge was efficient & easy to contact. Would very happily stay there again.

Lovely contemporary villa!

Villa Sonia has undergone a recent refurbishment which has been done to an excellent standard. Jorge, the owner was really warm, welcoming and responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. We’ve stayed in many Villas in Matagorda over the years, but none which have been of such a high standard. There were lots of little nice touches too. Usually we have to rush to buy basics, but here there was plenty to get us started so we could relax straight away. It was ideal for hubby and I on our first holiday without the kids. A lovely week and would definitely recommend 👍x Thanks Jorge, we’ll be back to see you soon.

Perfect place to stay

Could not fault the Villa. Hi quality appliances very well presented and maintained. Our host Jorge was always on hand if you needed him but just left us to it. There is everything you need and the welcoming touches like wine oil sugar tea fruit soap etc were very thoughtful. There is a safe and excellent air con. Satellite TV and even a Bluetooth speaker. WiFi has a strong signal. If you need anything there's a shop in the apartment block across the road. Matagorda mall is about a 5 min walk away as is the beach. Get yourself to Oceans Cocktail Bar upstairs on the front. It looks expensive but it is one of the cheapest with the best views. We Stay in Matagorda a least 3 times a year and will definitely be back here unless it's all booked up! Thanks for a wonderful stay. Regards Ron and Philippa Aspin
