“If you love nature, you will love The Canopy! We spotted a platypus on the first day and a cassowary on our way out! The birds are beautiful and the turtles plentiful. The staff were kind and helpful. They even built a fire for us on a cool day. Loved every minute of our time there. ”

“The house had a great view outside and the pool was very clean. The view was great and we could see the scenic railway train.”

“Excellent and loved the verandah - couldn’t fault anything other than ideally more detailed info about public transport into Cairns Waking in the recent heat was a real challenge but bus service seemed extremely infrequent Otherwise though loved the property, super clean and relaxing and bird wildlife all around so amazing - thank you”

“A really lovely property with absolutely delightful hosts. We had a 2 bedroom townhouse near the pool. Parking was downstairs and really only suited a small car (ours poked out the front). Well stocked kitchen, lots of accessories and wine glasses! Would be nice to have a few larger drinking glasses available. Main bedroom had lovely view of the Lake. Other bedroom overlooked the pool, unfortunately the mattress was like concrete, time for an upgrade perhaps. Screens throughout meant lovely...

“Stayed here for the second time in two years. It's well priced and big band for the bucks. Clean close to the city but far enough. Aircon , spacious and lot of light.”

“What a great place to stay, situated above a framing shop just a few miles from downtown Cairns. Reasonable coffee and food just blocks away. Very spacious, super comfy beds and furniture, great amenities, and fast, easy check-in and check-out. Highly recommend!”

“Petrea was a lovely host who made us feel very welcome. Tasteful decor, sparkling clean, lovely views, windows all round, very relaxing. We were able to pick from well cared for herb and veg garden. We will be back, wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Atherton. Highly recommend.”

“I would love to say it was a great place to stay, but we could not get there because of cyclone Jasper. The host was very accommodating to talk to but the “virtual assistants” Apps and automated emails are very frustrating to deal with when trying to book another stay. I still am no closer to rebooking, just going around and around in circles!”
