“The bedroom was really nice and clean although the bed had been really creaky and the room was hot. The tv didn’t bar many channels. But the overall experience and room was good. People at the bar were very friendly and the staff were lovely. There was a good vibe and atmosphere. ”

“Room was nice but in need of update, bed base was ripped and cushions were stale and in need of a wash. It was good to have a fully stocked fridge Bathroom was lovely and a good size. Breakfast was good but disappointing to have to pay for fresh coffee. The coffee in the table flasks was not the best. Overall hotel is nice and I have stayed here many times but could do with a few tweaks here and there.”

“I stay in hotels every week for work, and this was the best stay I have ever had. Every member of staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. I could go on, but honestly, just stay here. You will not regret it.”

Breakfast was freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. All in all, we had a very pleasant, if brief, stay and would certainly stay again and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Maldon. ”

“Beautiful guest house …very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, lovely and clean, with mini bar …and they little details in the rooms like Disaronno liquor ….a little Italian restaurant situated downstairs. Maldon is a beautiful village, with little shops and restaurants just around the corner, I would also highly recommend Mrs Salisburys for food & service too which is just around the corner on the high street. Parking is also available. ”

“The most likeable thing about this hotel is the staff. Lovey people, went out of their way to make me comfortable. The hotel could definitely do with an upgrade though, especially for business travel stays. Brilliant for on site parking. ”
