Our host was friendly & responsive, which we truly appreciated. The location is convenient and close to downtown TC, making it easy to enjoy the area.However, there were several aspects of the stay that made it less than ideal. The property is located next door to a tire repair shop, & the sound of impact guns began early each morning. Additionally, there's a night club that operates 7 nights a week. Even with the a/c, fan, & TV running, the music could still be heard late into the night. The biggest disappointment was the condition of the property compared to the the photos listed on VRBO. Unfortunately, they do not accurately represent the current state of the unit. There were holes in the kitchen & bathroom ceilings, visible mold in the areas of the shower & caulking, a detached ceiling fan, a large unfinished spackling area under a/c unit, & other maintenance concerns. The bathroom had very poor lighting & no exhaust fan which made the bathroom difficult to use. On top of that, some of the amenities were misrepresented. The coffee pot shown online is inaccurate (actually coffee pot was 4 cup), & we were only given 2 towels total for a 4 night stay.We did bring these concerns to the host, but were told that the building is old & most of our concerns were "cosmetic in nature". While we appreciated the host's friendliness and quick communication, we feel future guests should be aware the property is not in the condition represented in the listing.
