Welcome to The Roost Condo, our gorgeous bayside escape! As part of our fourplex condo building, The Roost is on the second story of the left side of the building. Step out onto your private balcony each morning with a cup of coffee and enjoy the sunrise over East Grand Traverse Bay! Being a second-story condo, this unit offers arguably one of the best views of the bay. Our private sugar sand beach and grassy courtyard with picnic tables are just steps from your front door, so you don't have to go far to start your day on the beach. The Roost Condo is ideal for a family getaway, sleeping 4 adults with two full-sized beds and a sofa bed in the living room for small children. An intimate living room and fully equipped kitchen make evenings relaxing inside after a full day of sun and sand. Whether traveling with family or enjoying a personal getaway, The Roost Condo is the perfect place for your beach days.
GUEST ACCESS With a community-style layout, Lakeshore Resort is like a miniature neighborhood. It's perfect for family reunions, gatherings, or time with friends. Private units provide separate space while also allowing access to shared outdoor areas. Most units have a front porch with a table and chairs, along with multiple shared seating options including beach lounge chairs, a grill, and picnic tables. Lakeshore Resort combines contemporary comforts with charm and simplicity for a perfect lakeside experience. Each unit is fully furnished and stocked with everything you need. All units have air conditioning (and heat for cooler months), a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, toaster, coffee maker), and a living space with a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and DVD player. Linens, towels, trash bags, paper towels, and bathroom toiletries are provided. Check out the full list of amenities to help inform your packing.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD Just minutes from downtown Traverse City, Lakeshore Resort allows for beach days and city nights. Downtown Traverse City has the best shopping, dining, and entertainment options! Check your booking information for our suggested local spots. For family-friendly activities, the TART Trail is nearby for biking and walking. Pirates Cove Adventure Park and mini golf courses are fan favorites, with ice cream and fudge shops close by. For additional activities like horseback riding or kayaking, reach out to the Elevated Homes & Hospitality team — we're happy to help plan your trip.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE The Roost Condo is part of a fourplex and shares walls with neighboring units. Outdoor stairs and pathways may lead to light foot traffic and related noises. This is a second-level unit with a flight of covered stairs and no elevator. The staircase is shared with the other second-level unit. The sleeper sofa is small, suitable for young children, not recommended for adults. Lakeshore Resort grounds are shared with all guests. Shared areas include the BBQ grill, picnic tables, beach, and parking lot. Our team maintains the grounds daily. Lakeshore Resort does not provide boats or watercraft for rent. Nearby boat launches are available, and boats can be anchored offshore. Small watercraft like kayaks or canoes can be stored on the private beach. Parking is shared with numbered spots assigned per unit. The lot is small and cannot accommodate boat trailers. Off-site trailer parking is available at Timber Ridge, minutes away (call ahead for rates). Cameras monitor the parking lots and office area. This is a strictly non-smoking property, indoors and outdoors. The grounds, beach, and other resort/common areas are not managed by us. We only manage the units.

Not Good
Management did offer a different place to stay but not on the beach, first one basically on railroad. We left early. They gave a partial refund. They did communicate well and were very nice.
We could not get in condo when we arrived at 4pm. Waited two hours. Bugs everywhere. Bites while sleeping. Dirty and stained bedding.Very dirty refrigerator. Air conditioning wouldn’t turn on. Management couldn’t get anyone to come trouble shoot until the next day and it was an extremely hot day. Smelled like smoke. Used plug ins.Tub filled up when showering and old stuff backs up. Showered in 4 inches of dirty water. Management came to fix but left dirt everywhere in bathroom. Better off staying at hotel

Great private beach
Great private beach, and about a 12 minute drive to downtown. We live a few hours away so left home early to not waste our day. We arrived at 1:00 and went straight to the beach! We msgd the rental mgmt to see if the unit could be ready
earlier than the 4:00 check in, they said no - 4:00. Around 330 I asked if I could enter the unit to use the bathroom. They said I could use the bathroom but that the unit wasn’t fully ready until 4:00 because they were taking picture. that was nice they let us use the restroom but disappointing that the room was ready but we couldn’t get start using it then. We usually stay nearby at grand beach and sugar beach and they are more accommodating with early check-in and text you once the rooms are ready.
The unit is nicely decorated. Full fridge was nice for our family of 6. The bathroom vanity is a pedestal sink with no counter space- this would be the first thing I would recommend ownership to change. Providing beach towels, luggage racks & Extra bath towels would be helpful. a stackable washer/dryer in the kitchen closet would be a game changer.
Our biggest issue was that we needed to use the sofa bed and the sheets on it were dirty with hair 😬 we asked for replacement sheets but they were not able to bring new sheets until the following morning. I understand that this isn’t a hotel w/ on site housekeeping but then they should have had extras in the unit.
I’d stay here again just for the beach if the nearby hotels were booked.
