Sweet spot in convenient neighborhood

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend visit to Tucson. The space was adequate for two people, clean and convenient to restaurants, retail and downtown.

Tucson duplex review

Overall the stay was great. The rental was the perfect size for two people. We hung out outside on our second night for a few hours and it was a great experience. Place is cozy and we felt comfortable.

Charming, quaint stay

My wife and Ilove staying in VRBO’s and liked the charm of this place. It was too cold, and really didn’t have much time this trip, to enjoy the outside area, but greatly satisfied our modest expectations.

Perfect location - great outdoor space/yard

This property is in a perfect location within walking distance to many great restaurants. It’s a short 6 minute drive to the UofA campus as well. The space was clean and comfortable. The backyard area is adorable and perfect for a little gathering/entertaining. I really enjoyed my stay!

Cute tiny house feel

Great price, modern feel inside and wonderful outdoor area. Title says hot tub but read carefully it’s only in the right side of duplex. Walls are thin so you will hear quite a bit of noise whether from people next door or business on other side. Good location in 2 directions, gets sketchy with a lot of homeless the other direction. Worth the money and we stayed for 2 weeks with no issues other then noise but late night was good.

Perfect Location

The location is perfect - centrally located with easy access to everything. .the house has very basic needs but we made do. Our only big complaint was gaining access to the property. We had a bit of trouble with their keyless entry system, but they were very quick to answer messages and resolve the issue. I would expect that issue to be rectified before the next renter. This was our second stay - we will be back!

Subpar

Bathroom did not work, driveway was too narrow for our vehicle, no heat and minimal blankets in 30 degree weather, next door to a loud bar, no dishwasher detergent, not a great experience.

Dirty floors

The property was not clean. The floors were filthy. I had to wear socks just to walk around they supply no cleaning products for me to clean the floors. I had to go out and buy cleaning products to wash the floors because the first day two pairs of my socks were black.

Problems with electronic lock access, no response from host. No space to store your clothes, other than a few hangers. Few kitchen utensils, and pans need replacement.

This property is the worst we have ever been too. Said they had a hot tub, they did not. We had to pick up glass in the yard but said they were pet friendly. Also said they slept four so we made the assumption they would have plates and utensils for four but did not. We came down for Easter and although it was my husband and I staying we had our daughter and boyfriend over for Easter dinner. Had to use paper plates because there were not enough plates for four. Kitchen water pressure was terrible! So cleaning up after meals was bad. This stay was so rotten we left a day early!

Family business trip

The place was nicely decorated, had high end appliances and had secure off street parking (important). It was perfect for our needs. Unfortunately, the place had not been cleaned since the previous guests (bedding, towels, kitchen). Project manager was very apologetic and promised to have it spotless quickly. We returned to find clean bedding and towels. However, discovered that the glassware, some dishes, flatware, utensils and pots and pans were not clean (smeared and smudged). We ran everything through the dishwasher and they were good. The wall heater/AC units had frequent error message (E8) throughout the 6 days we were there. We were also frustrated by the lack of a ‘guest information book’. We never did figure out the television. The lovely outdoor space was also not cleaned. Overall the unit was perfect for our needs. Might be time for a new cleaning crew…

Disappointing experience

We booked a stay at this VRBO for a short overnight getaway. We were expecting a clean and comfortable experience, but unfortunately, it fell short in several aspects. The cleanliness was subpar; the shower was dirty, and there were no washcloths or hand towels provided. Despite claiming to accommodate four guests, there wasn't enough bedding or pillows available. Additionally, the listing advertised a hot tub, which was nowhere to be found. Instead of a proper soap dispenser, there was a giant bottle of dish soap, which was unappealing and inconvenient. To top it off, the sponges in the kitchen were dirty, and although the listing mentioned two parking spots, there was no way both vehicles could have fit. Overall, a disappointing and misrepresented stay.

Disappointed

Expressed concerns less than 2 hours after check in and never heard back from host.Access to driveway required jump over sliding gate threshold from narrow alley. Check in instructions said parking to left of driveway was permitted, but received rude note for parking there. Heating was difficult. Water and ice in refrigerator didn’t work. Bathroom barn door sticks and was loud. The only place with adequate lighting to read by was in bed or bathroom. Some small lamps but no outlets to plug them into. No suitcase stands or dressers. Low water flow from shower. Old rough towels. The general feel was cheap and minimal.

Great stay, but..

My fiancé and I wanted to get away for the day so we decided to rent out this Vrbo for the night. We’ve stayed in the right side duplex before so we knew what to expect, right side is definitely a little bigger but they both are very identical. Very cozy room/bed. A/C unit was a little hard to understand it’s only in Celsius and I didn’t understand the symbols as there was no heat icon. But we eventually did figure it out. Complimentary coffee, all kitchen utensils, clean space and a good vibe backyard. The only issue we experienced was the check-in process. When you book this Vrbo it says you will receive the code to the gate an hour before checkin at 4pm we did not. After several calls and text to the host we received nothing. We were originally going to drop off our stuff at the property then go out to dinner. So we just went out to dinner and hopefully while we were out we were going to receive the gate code for the keys. Still nothing. I figured maybe it’s unlocked and there’s a different way to get it. When we got there everything was locked and it was dark. At around 6:30 I called for about the 7th time and got someone to answer that was not the host. But they were able to verify that we did stay there and we received the code and the keys. Just a quick note, if you have a low car you will damage your under carriage of your vehicle driving into property over the gate rail. Very tight spot, can’t open car doors if you have luggage.

Pleasant and nice stay

What a nice unit! We enjoyed our stay. The place was perfect for what we were needing. The AC and fans worked great. We shut off AC and used fans when it got too cold. Fridge was handy for keeping our drinks cold. It’s location was a little unusual with entrance in an alley and it faces a parking lot across, but there is a nice private parking spot inside the unit which is gated. Overall, we liked the unit and would recommend to others traveling to Tucson.
