A great stay!

House very close to beach- walk down a beach path less than one minute. Big comfy beds and bedrooms. Very nice stocked kitchen. Host provides shampoo conditioner and soap. And coffee! Host was very nice and super easy to reach. Gave great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Would definitely recommend staying here for a beach vaca on Tybee

5 Star Weekend

Four friends that have known each other since middle school chose to celebrate our 60th birth year (1964) in a location we had never been (Tybee Island / Savannah). We found the Aloha Surf Retreat on VRBO and it sounded perfect for us. The host, Melody, made our weekend so special with the thoughtful things she did to make us feel welcomed and comfortable during our stay. She was great and kept in touch with us leading up to, during, and at the end of our stay. As a host, she went above and beyond compared to anywhere else I have stayed. We had a wonderful time in Tybee and Savannah. Highly recommend.

Great location!

We had a great stay! The house is super close to the beach so we were able to go in the morning come back to the house for lunch let the littles nap or play foosball and head back to the beach in the afternoon/ evening. She had plenty of games for us to do both on the beach and at the house. Great house for a family vacation!

The perfect beachside stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed! The convenience of the beach being within steps was a game changer-not to mention that the home was within a few short minutes of everything Tybee has to offer! The host, Melody, was extremely accommodating and kind and so easy to work with! Don’t hesitate booking this home for your stay!!

Great vibe

The house was clean and comfortable. We loved the back porch and fire pit. There is easy access to the beach through a path just off the house. Melody responded quickly to any questions or requests. She shared great information about viewing the moon rise and good restaurants near by. Only downside was not having soap or shampoo provided. There was plenty of room and the rest of the amenities were great.

Quick weekend

It was a nice walk to the beach You should however bring your own linens. There were none provided. Also bring extra blankets, these were also not provided. Laundry detergent is another thing. One more thing… don’t play the games she has available and drink alcohol. She will count that as a party and charge you extra. And that is a steep price.

Stay on Tybee Island

We enjoyed staying in the townhouse. It is in a lovely location, near the Lighthouse and Tybee Island Marine Science Center. The common areas are particulalry nice for your group to gather and listen to the ocean.

Kids Paradise

We had a blast at Melody's house. The house is located on a quiet and private street, while being only a five minute drive from the local food spots. Our kids LOVED walking to the beach which basically felt like the backyard. The house is inviting with cozy rooms and comfortable beds. My favorite hangout spot was the nook off the kitchen with a swing and comfy chair. We cannot wait to come back!

Wonderful stay!

Melody was a great host, very responsive and helpful! The house was great, in a perfect location, with sweet neighbors. Loved the convenience to everything and the private beach access. We got to enjoy the pirate fest while we were there and some great food. My only complaint, which has nothing to do with the home or the host, was that there was a fishing tournament for a couple of days which basically blocked off the entire north beach while it was happening. Just one of those things to be aware of and plan around if you can. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Perfect Tybee

Melody was an amazing host! The home is situated in a convenient residential neighborhood on North Tybee. The secluded path through the dunes is magical. I was able to host a sweet 16 for my daughter with a couple of her closest friends. They loved the soulful vibes of the home and enjoyed the convenient walk to the beach!

Fine in general but "20 steps through the dunes" advertisement doesn't quite capture the reality of "twenty steps to the dunes and a half mile after that to the water".

Perfect Location For Low-Key Vacation

This was a last minute trip for us, and we were lucky enough to be one of the first guests for Melody. Let me just say, she's amazing to work with. Very gracious and accommodating, and she's super quick to respond and is even willing to help you with island suggestions. I haven't had a VRBO host this attentive, ever. The house is adorable. Loved the decor, furniture is comfortable, screened deck with ceiling fan was great for early morning coffee and evening drinks with our friends. The location to the beach made it so easy to pop over for an hour or so and then come back for a break. And since it's not a public access point, we basically had a whole stretch to ourselves. We saw tons of dolphins from the beach, found live sand dollars, caught some sting rays, kyaked over to little Tybee and enjoyed dinners and Bubba Gump's and HuckAPoos pizza (must go!) And breakfast at the Sunrise Diner. If you're looking for a laid back place to slow down and recharge, this is it. Thank you for opening your home and allowing us to stay. We'd love to come back.

Weekend at the beach

We wanted a nice getaway to the beach and we found this gem! The house is steps away from the beach. Melody provided us with very nice, clean accommodations. The neighborhood is very nice and comfortable. Melody was very easy to communicate with. We loved it here and will definitely be back! Thank you Melody!
