Tybee Island vacation

Property very nice in all respects. Loved Tybee Island and River Walk in Savannah. Next year would need home w/ pool sleeps 12. Advise if available.Limit 8 people, needed 9. Kept my sister and friend from coming too.

Started out rough

Communication with the property manager was difficult. When we arrived, the pool company had shocked the pool with chemicals and we were unable to use the pool the first day. We did encounter a few bugs inside and ants around the pool were terrible. There are also some sunken and broken tiles around the pool that are definitely tripping hazards. The property owner was present when we arrived and is a lovely lady. The controls for some of the fans and lights was confusing and there are a LOT of stairs with 3 floors. We did find the beach chairs and umbrella very useful when visiting the beach. We ended up renting a golf cart because the walk to the beach access with difficult for me and our 7 year old on the 99 day. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and this is a lovely home, it just wasn't the best fit for our family of two teenagers, a 7 year old and their Nana (me).

Spring Break Getaway

What a lovely house!! Perfect for family to gather and so close to the beach!! Was also wonderful being so close to Sugar Shack as we walked down daily! Everything was clean and well kept. Pool was serviced during our stay which was great to get the leaves cleaned up! It was also key paying to keep the pool heated as the ocean water was still cold! Great time, thank you!!

Great beach house!

We visited over Christmas 2024 and loved the home. It was perfectly decorated for the season and it was a great little get away for several days. Beautiful home. Would love to go back in the summer when we could utilize the private pool.

New Years getaway

Such a relaxing and convenient location! We have stayed all over the island many times and are toying with retirement living there. The pool was delightful and the property spacious Thanks so much for your hospitality!

Rain didn't keep us down

Unfortunately we had rain the best part of our stay. However, we made the best of it. With our two little ones we were able to walk to the park and the beach. We had a treasure hunt that ended at the sugar shack and were not disappointed. We lovw tybee island.

Great for families and short walk to beach!

Had a great time here with our 3 yr old and 2 sets of grands. Short walk to beach and great pool. Decorated so cute and hosts communicated very well. Would definitely recommend. Very close to Sugar Shack. Beach not crowded. ☀️🏝️

Beautiful home!

We had a great visit to Tybee! The house was beautiful and just as pictured. It’s a short walk to the beach and we loved having the pool steps away. The AC on the top floor did go out while we were there but the property manager had someone out the next day to fix. We absolutely loved out visit.

Nautilus review

The property is very nice, clean, well maintained, up to date. Very pleased. There were pool issues so we were disappointed that we could not get the pool clean enough to swim in it. There was some inclement weather but we believe the pool filter was not working as efficiently as it should. Overall, please with property if you don’t care about having a pool.

Great Spot on Tybee

This is beautiful property near the north beaches. We stayed with our family of 8 over an extended weekend. The house was nicely appointed and very comfortable. Perfect spot for our stay.

Beautifully decorated home a short walk from the beach

Our family came to this pet friendly rental for a week at the beach. The place is beautifully decorated in beach house decor with plenty of space indoors and outdoors to hang out with family. Our kids enjoyed spending time in the pool when taking a break from the beach which is a short walk away. We would definitely rent again.

Tybee getaway

The house is just as advertised. We enjoyed our stay and relaxed. The kids loved the ping pong table and the pool. The house is beautiful. We loved sitting on the upper porch and enjoying the atmosphere. The beach is just a short walk.

Small things add up

Big-picture wise, the house has a nice layout, plenty of room, location is close to the beach, and we loved the wraparound porches. However, we experienced several issues during our stay last month: - Upstairs AC was not working when we checked in (Tuesday evening); the owner was responsive but the AC wasn't fixed repaired until Friday evening; it was over 80 degrees each day upstairs so sleeping in the master bedroom was difficult given the heat on the floor - The gas supply to the house ran out Sunday (Easter) afternoon; we had to take cold showers before going to dinner that night and were unable to do any of our dirty laundry before leaving the next day - The switches/remotes for the fans/lights had been re-programmed and there was no available documentation for how to use them so adjusting the lights/fans was problematic for the duration of our stay - As communicated to us prior to the trip, the blinds for the bedrooms were on backorder and temporary paper blinds had been put up instead; unfortunately, they were very thin and did not keep the light out of the rooms so it was very bright as soon as the sun came up, which made sleeping past 7 very difficult To their credit, the owners were responsive to these issues and did their best to fix them, and also refunded us one night's stay. We were frustrated that we had so many issues at this pricepoint for a house rental, so we are sharing our experience, but also recognize that it's highly unlikely that such a combination of issues would occur for future guests.
