It's about three minutes out of town so it's quiet but you can get to a restaurant quickly if you don't take advantage of the full kitchen this place offers. If you're heading to Death Valley you simply turn right at the end of the street and take a beautiful back way into the park. The hosts answered all my questions quickly. “There was a little bit of miscommunication on check-in with the lock box that keeps the house key. They have a very prominent keypad on the door jam that doesn't work and then one on the door that is the one you're supposed to use. I got in late and didn't see the one on the door so had to call the owner for help. They promptly gave me directions for how to get in the back door. We figured out later that I was trying to use the wrong keypad. Other than that, this was a very nice stay for a great...

“Place was a perfect location and such a nice place to stay for the price! We were staying in a tiny hotel room the nights before for what it cost to essentially have a whole house to yourself. Only downside was having to move car every two hours between 10 AM and 10 PM. But it gave us a break from work!”

Everything was well-decorated and working, and there was a great place to park. Would definitely recommend, especially if you're looking to stay close to Chico State (15 minute walk, 5 minute drive).
