“El hotel es antiguo, las habitaciones pequeñas por el precio a pagar. Las únicas más grandes son las suites! No tiene ascensor, y la ubicación, también si se ve el mar, es muy ruidosa, da a una explanada pensada como elipuerto, pero está muy transitada de día y de noche con bastante ruidos de bocinas y motores! Los días de nuestra estancia estaban en obras, arreglando fachadas y construiendo una piscina. Es limpio pero falta renovar las habitaciones y el quarto de baño para poder exigir el...

“It is nice”

“It looks like a 5 star resort the room is so clean and location is just 10 min walk to the beach”

“No ac”

“Clean and spacious room. The balcony was also spacious. Had a really good time staying there. If you are looking for something clean spacious and budget friendly, just go for this property.”

“Arrived in the evening to a warm and friendly welcome. Gracious host offered food and time to relax. Bathroom needs work, but a lovely if brief stay, otherwise.”

“Excellent atmosphere and vibes! Staff is always with a smile and very happy to work. It’s a shame I had planned to move elsewhere or I would have happily stayed at this property. P.s as a foreigner here you can apply for UPI the only way to pay with your card all across India”

“The reception staff was very friendly. However the room was a disappointment. There was not toilet paper, the sheets were dirty and stained. I had to use a towel on the bottom sheet and slept in my clothes. I booked for two nights and stayed one night and checked out. The location was nice very close to the beach and local restaurants. I would not recommend staying here. ”

“Unfortunately, the overall experience was just average. I was excited to stay here, and the building did have the basics in place e.g. nice and clean building, rooms and bathrooms; and very conveniently located close to the north cliff (i.e. all the cafes etc.), but that's about it. Very poor/choppy wi-fi on the upper floor, mobile data didn't work either (so nightmare for remote work on top floor) and the staff wasn't really helpful / communicative / alert about the guests or hospitality. The...

“Really sweet spot just off the beach up a commerce alley. Jishnu the host was very nice and helpful with getting comfortable. Hot shower if you want it - but I’ve learned to love taking cold showers here - and the bathroom was perfectly clean and well appointed. I will be back here at the Gypsy next year for sure.”

“Chambre très austère, pas celle des photos. Pas de serviette de bains. Draps déjà bien vieux. Pas de moustoquaire aux vitres. Emplacement calme et a 2 pas de Varkala beach.”
