Quaint Beach House

This is an absolutely charming, bungalow built in the 1950s. It was perfect for our family of five. We actually had Thanksgiving dinner on the back patio. The kitchen was outstanding with an amazing stove and an assortment of high-quality pots and pans. This place is just about a block from the beach so we could easily see the sunset after a short walk every evening. We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Ventura. What a great time to visit Southern California.

Sweet digs amongst the other mollusks on their perch...

This was our first visit to the area and I was surprised at how close the homes were to one another, which later reminded me of the way sealife builds itself, up on each other, comfortable in each others company. The home itself has a very inviting front seating area, and a warm living room. We found out that AC wasn't an option when we got there, but fans were available. We did try opening the front windows, and they helped, but we never felt that breeze we were promised. When the front room got too warm, we cooled off at the beach or went into the back rooms that stayed cool during most of the day. The kitchen was fully stocked and the stove was roomy. The bathroom was small, but had good water pressure and lots of extra towels in the closet. There were lots of toys and treasures for the kiddos. The TV worked without a problem. Directions were helpful. The beds were comfortable. The location is wonderful, with the beach a short walk away and the town within walking distance. A few suggestions to help spruce things up, would be to wash or paint over the scuffs on the walls, check for cobwebs inside, by the outdoor shower and seating areas. The home shows its been well loved, but it also needs some of its wrinkles ironed out. Overall it was cozy and sweet.

Bangor lane bungalow

We truly appreciated this sweet little cottage by the sea. Well appointed, especially the kitchen with everything we needed.It was very easy to clean, and lots of places to hang out. We loved the proximity to the ocean, restaurants, shopping and most of all our son! Definitely recommend to those who love the feel of a bungalow but with loads of updates.

Great Place to Stay

This was a fantastic property, 500 feet from the beach, walking distance to restaurants, stores, close to train station and the center of town. Beautifully decorated with all conveniences. Management company answered promptly any and all questions. Highly recommend this property, cant wait to return.

Pierpont homey beach cabin

This property is in a great neighborhood. It is very quiet and close to the beach and restaurants on Seward. The kitchen in this house is well stocked and has new appliances. Would love to go back!!

Lovely cottage by the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful, comfy cottage just a couple of blocks away from our family in Ventura. Would have been perfect if our dogs could have joined us but we still managed to have a great visit.

Great location, private backyard!

Great little house close to the beach, with a private relaxing backyard. Unfortunately the queen bed was extremely uncomfortable which made for a long 6 night stay. If the bed was replaced I would highly recommend this property!

Perfect long weekend...

What a lovely getaway. The house had everything we needed. It was such a sweet, homey spot to be for a few days. A 3 minute walk to the beach, which was so great for our 4 year old. Thank you so much for the best getaway we could have asked for!

Great little place by the beach

The house was exceptionally clean and was perfect for our little group. Neighborhood was very quiet and only a five minute walk to the beach. It was a very warm weekend so it was a little warm even with the fans, however, any other time I would assume the fans and ocean breeze is enough to be comfortable. The management was very responsive and available.

Great beach house

The house was very comfortable and well equipped. Any issues we had were immediately handled by the management company. The issues were minor. The front patio and backyard are lovely to spend time in. The BBQ was covered and cleaned before we arrived. The trees and bushes in the backyard were a little overgrown but trimming would solve that problem. Also, the hammock is no longer there just in case you were planning on using it. I would stay there again!

Ventura Get Away

Great little property—perfect for my family of four. Very clean, check in and check out process was simple. Half block to the beach with gorgeous sunsets. Easy walk to a small business area with lots of good restaurants—don’t miss the Thai restaurant! Delicious! Easy drive to pier and marina. Would definitely stay here again.

Adorable beach house

We frequent Ventura to visit family usually renting hotel rooms and thought we would try a small beach house instead. This home spoiled us! Perfect location, nicely decorated, immaculate, everything you could need provided for your stay. You are minutes from everything including a walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

Fantastic and Affordable

We so enjoyed our stay here! It was quick and easy to book. The property felt fresh and clean. We were right by the beach. There was entertainment in house, and plenty of things to do in the neighborhood. I would recommend this to any of my friends, and I would venture to go through Turnkey again.
