Fisherman’s Wharf is a vibrant area right on the water. For me the location was well situated near family I was visiting. The houseboats are a nice addition and I’m glad I got to experience staying on one.

The boathouse is a unique place to stay, but it does require some extra effort to access. Fisherman's Wharf is an extremely busy and chaotic tourist area. If you are driving, you have to temporarily park in a loading area (hopefully there is space), and walk to the boat to meet the owner who lives in the upper level. She provides the needed parking pass for a lot nearby and the code numbers to access the pier after hours and the boat itself. It is all doable and very worthwhile, but it was all a little much after a long day of travel. The room itself is quaint, has all that you need, and is walking distance to downtown Victoria. My husband & I had a great sleep and wished we could have stayed longer.

Cozy on the water

We stayed for a long weekend. It was great to be right on the wharf! The food around us was great! Room was clean and easy to access. There was breakfast included at a local cafe which was scrumptious.

Room was very small when you look online it portrays to look like your renting the hole unit not a bed was very disappointing. We gathered our stuff and got a nice room at the magnolia hotel. My own fault for not looking more clearly into this but way to small for a couple to enjoy

We stayed for two nights in this quiet, small community. The breakfast provided by Imagine was excellent. However, it would be more convenient if each room had its own kettle and hair dryer, so we wouldn’t have to return them to the outside area after every use, but we appreciate the effort and hope our feedback can help improve the experience for future guests.

Highly recommend this Float Home in Fisherman's Wharf. It's super convenient to enjoy this end of Victoria, snack foods on the Wharf or take a water taxi at your doorstep to other sites. It's a bit small, but it is a houseboat (with one other tenant and the owner living upstairs). The convenience and unique/cuteness factor are definitely worth staying here.

Nice location

The location is wonderful and interesting however the furniture and home need updating to justify the cost. Plug in bathtub leaks and too much owner junk in the closet. The owner was rude in her explanation so maybe its time to shut it down and retire.

Loved the idea of sleeping on the water. Property was relatively quiet considering the owner lives above and a second unit right next door. Shared air blower/kettle not ideal as wasn't available when needed. There was no tv (which is good and bad) but be aware. Loved our included breakfast at Imagine Cafe. Room was smaller but very clean and sufficient.

Enjoyed my stay. It was a bucket list item! It was clean! It was quiet. There are robes and I love dark towels! The bed is warm with a firm mattress. At home I have a 4 inch memory foam topper, so a firm mattress was a very different sleep for me. My favorite was having a seal swim by as I was having my morning coffee! The Mexican restaurant is open through winter which is lovely! It’s steps away from the front door! I didn’t take in breaky in the provided places she offered. I brought my own. I like breaky quiet in my pjs. The host, Carlene, was lovely! Very friendly! If you are coming during the winter months, and you struggle with warm feet, I’d suggest bringing slippers! I was glad I packed them. She does have an area rug, but walks to bathroom or fridge get cold on the feet! I’d definitely stay again!

Murphy bed, bathroom, dresser with fridge and coffee station. The floor can be cold on the feet. Bring your slippers.

This was a lovely location with parking provided. Breakfast at the local diner was great. Of concern, was discovering hair on the side of the bathtub when I first went to use the bathtub and the floor hadn’t been vacuumed. Tidy room, but not clean.

Quiet Houseboat Bed and Brekkie

Communication from the host was outstanding. The room was clean and cozy. No tv in the room, but we really didn’t care. It was a surprise for my family and they loved it. Perfect if you want a quiet affordable getaway. Walking distance to inner harbor. Breakfast was included and provided by a family owned cafe called Imagine. Your choice of fruit and yogurt or a breakfast sandwich on banock bread… it was called Imagine Cafe and they make an awesome wood fired pizza.
