Wish there was some room to put clothes away. There are only four cubbies. When staying for more than a couple nights it is tight.As owner uses the unit- one of the two closets is locked off- fair enough. The other closet in the unit is full. Strongly suggest to either re organize or change some furniture in the bedroom to allow space for a dresser or something.

The housekeeping team/PM company is not keeping up with property cleaning this unit. When we arrived there were wet/musty linens in both the washer and dryer. We had to keep running clean washer cycle to get the smell out of the washer--rice cooker was full of mold. The floors had not been mopped...hair in bathroom on floor and shower. The Lanai had not been mopped and/or furniture wiped off in a while. Our feet and clothing were black after sitting out there one time. I do understand it gets dusty here as we have been many times, but this clearly had not been cleaned well in a long time. The bedroom configuration is odd. There really is nowhere to put your clothing. The bedroom closet is full of owner's items, rollaway bed, linens and a shelf blocking any hanging space and there is a tiny shelf with housekeeping linens in it with a giant chair in the corner--really leaves very little space for guests to place any of their personal items or clothing. On a positive note, the location is amazing! We have stayed at Maalaea Banyans five times now (in a different unit that was sold right before our current reservation) and love the area so that would be a trade off I suppose. We like staying in this area bc its very chill and we enjoy walking to the beach park down the street!

Great location

Great location and great pool area and grounds. Condo clean. We found the bed comfortable. A few things we had concerns about. Could not get the oven to work. Contacted the property manager twice. No one ever did come look at it. We finally turned off the breaker and then back on and it finally reset. Place needs patio curtains. On hot days needed to use the air conditioner to cool the place down. A pair of binoculars sure would be nice to watch whales when on the lanai. Very limited space for clothes as no dresser and very little space in closet. A lot of these are same concerns from earlier renters so hope this is addressed.

Pictures lead you to believe good size. 1. Main closet, good sized locked not able to store suitcases, coats etc. 2. No dresser in bedroom, clozet full of owner items including roll away bed not useable to hang clothes. 3. Owner containers in refrigerator 4. Locked drawer in kitchen 5. A surfboard and oversized chair in bedroom, restricting movement to get around, 6. No curtain or shades for main sliding door and windows. Morning sun filled room by 0730 requiring AC to cool off the room. Could not sit in chairs without AC TOO HOT AND TV VERY HARD TO SEE. 7. The slatted windows in bedroom had stripped operators so we could not open in order to get cross air flow. The AC in the living room not large enough to cool entire condo. 8. King size bed was fitted with an eggshell cover, the mattress well beyond service life. 9. No instruction for how to use the compact hi tech washing machine and dryer. Had to google make and model to find operating instructions. 10. No operating instructions for range. Googled make and model because oven would not work. Online said power off and on to reset smart range. Worked 11. Vacuum cleaner was a joke. 12. Did not use dishwaher. Overall too much furniture in the condo. Had to live out of suitcase because no dresser or closet space. THE VIEW THERE WAS PERFECT HOWEVER, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS UNIT UNTIL OWNER CLEARS OUT CLOSETS AND UNLOCKS THEM AND REPLACE THE BED

Loved our stay!

The condo was just as advertised. As an added bonus we found snacks waiting for us upon arrival which helped refresh us after a long flight. The condo is conviently located within walking distance to the harbor where we went on an awesome whale watching adventure. We saw so many whales! Matter of fact we saw whales from our condo balcony. I would definately recommend Maalaea Banyans.

Great central location.

This was a great central location with beautiful views. Turtles on the beach were fun to watch. For beach swimming there is the park with nice sandy beach just a 4 minute walk. Only complaint is the owners have a fold up bed and shelves in the bedroom closet so there was no room for our suitcases. We had to leave them around edge of room which was not much space. Take out the chair. Surfboard and wobbly unit the tv is on and put the TV on the wall. That would open up some space in the bedroom if the owner is not going to provide the closet space. Also there were a lot of beach items on the balcony that you could not move chairs around too much. Otherwise was a great place for a relaxing vacation. Have already reported to managing company, but an inside deadbolt or lock would be appreciated for the renters security when we are in the unit.

Retirement trip

Very clean, great view. Lots of turtles to see. Never stayed in this area before and was pleasantly surprised. I will miss the view waking up and being stunned every morning.
