Our newly remodeled 3-bedroom, 1.5-bath home is located in the heart of the village of Walloon Lake, Michigan — known by locals as “The Foot.” Just 100 yards from the water, the cottage sits perfectly between the charm of the village and the peaceful beauty of the lake itself.

Walloon Lake is one of those rare places that captures your heart the moment you arrive. It’s a destination where life slows down, neighbors wave from porches, and families have gathered for generations. The village is rich in history, yet warm and welcoming to new visitors who want to experience the unique sense of community that has made Walloon famous for over a century.

Step inside and you’ll immediately notice the care and detail that went into updating this home while preserving its cozy cottage character. The open layout provides plenty of space for families or small groups to relax, cook, and spend time together.

Location & Setting

The cottage is located in the village of Walloon Lake, affectionately called “The Foot” because of its location at the southern end of the lake. From here, you’re less than a minute’s walk to public lake and dock access, where you can swim, wade, or simply sit by the shore and take in the stunning, Caribbean-like clear water and sandy bottom that Walloon is known for.

The village park and public beach are family favorites, offering an easy way to enjoy the lake without needing a boat. Stroll the charming streets, stop by the General Store, grab coffee or lunch at The Walloon Lake Inn or Barrel Back Restaurant, and browse the local shops and marina — all within easy walking distance of the cottage.

During the summer months, Walloon comes alive with boaters, concerts, and lakeside events, yet still maintains its peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Autumn brings breathtaking colors and crisp mornings perfect for hiking or scenic drives. Guest Access & Entry

Guests will receive an access code prior to arrival.

During winter months, please enter through the mudroom via the back patio door (the front porch is enclosed for winter use and accessible only from the inside).

During summer months, guests are welcome to enter through either the front porch or the back patio/mudroom entrance.

Parking is available on the paved driveway, with space for multiple vehicles.
