“Comfortable, cosy bungalow that is exactly as described & pictured on Vrbo. The gracious, friendly owners are onsite & greeted us when we arrived & said goodbye when we departed. The bungalow features a great layout for two couples as there are two king bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, one of which has a second door to the common area. These private areas are separated by the living room, dining room, & kitchen which provides some welcome privacy. An SUV or 4-wheel drive car may be helpful...

“We stayed in early November and had a wonderful experience at the cottage. The beds were sooo comfortable. Enjoyed coffee down by the lake and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere throughout the day. The home was immaculate and offered every amenity we needed. Highly recommend this rental!”

“This was our second stay at the Cayuga Homestead! Despite the rainy weather, everything was excellent. We enjoyed the TV on the main floor and watched many movies and relaxed. Kids had fun playing games in the basement. Kitchen had everything we needed and we took advantage of the waffle maker this time. What a hit! Excellent communication from Daura. Highly recommend!”

“Decent place to stay. Just a few things that should be addressed though. 1- Need more forks in the silverware drawer. There’s only one. 2 - The washer only has hot water coming out of it no matter what temperature setting is used on the washer. The drain needs to be secured better so it doesn’t end draining all over the floor in the basement. 3 - Some of the lamps need light bulbs and no spare bulbs in the house. The front porch light doesn’t work. Overall our stay was nice and enjoyable....

“Our family thoroughly enjoyed a few nights on the banks of Cayuga Lake, while being very close to Ithaca and surrounding natural areas of interest. We loved the warm wood floors and overall timeless character of the home. Great views of the lake including awesome master bedroom views as well. The outdoor stairs and decking all appeared recently updated and provided good access to the dock and water. We had pretty decent weather to fish a bit off the dock with the kids, but it was too chilly to...

“Great location and clean property. Walking distance to Watkins glen park and restaurants. Neighboring Church bells ring loudly between 10pm to 8 am so bring earplugs if you don’t want to be woken up that early.”

“This property is located in a country setting with a view of a river and waterfalls at the end of the driveway. Centrally located in the heart of wine country. Would highly recommend for a couples getaway.”

“We loved our week here with our family of 6. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. Beach/dock/fire pit was the favorite spot, but the jacuzzi and sauna got plenty of use too. Kitchen was well-staoked and owners were nice and responsive. The fridge in the beach house was a great plus for drinks and snacks without going back up to the main house.”

“We really enjoyed staying in this little home. It is within walking distance of downtown Watkins Glen so it is very easy to walk to if you choose to do so. The inside was very clean and well kept. We liked the close proximity to various winerys and restaurants. It made it very easy to stop back and drop off our goodies we collected throughout the days we were there.”
