Fantastic experience, big house, clean, nicely decorated, amenities are more than just I need. Games are available downstairs. Views are nice from bedroom, available common balcony, fireplace, grill machine etc.

They tried hard with amenities etc but the room felt like a basement- needed a good airing or room freshener. The staff tries hard but there needs to be some money spent here. Very expensive for what you get. Strong odour everywhere. We stayed because it was clean & the staff was nice and did their best. Very large rooms

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Our manor house a luxury home with 7 rooms. We usually don't get bad reviews and I have never heard anyone complain about the place feeling like a basement.

Wonderful time reconnecting with friends we haven’t seen in eight years! We chose Watkins Glen for a 3-day getaway because it was a halfway point from our homes. Enjoyed Longhouse Manor B&B overlooking Seneca Lake with great views of autumn colors surrounding us. Also, enjoyed dinner in downtown Watkins Glen at Graffs…great food!!

Overall I had a very good stay. The staff was very friendly and professional. Check in was fast and easy. We stayed in room 5. The yard was beautiful I loved sitting outside on the porch watching the deer in the morning, they also had to propane fire places and a pool which was closed for the season at the time of my stay. The room was very nice big with a lot of room. The only complaint I have is the closet next to the main bedroom was full of mold. That needs to be cleaned and painted over. The bed in the master bedroom was also very uncomfortable.the mattress seemed wore out and should be replaced. The beds in the other bedroom were a lot more comfortable. Breakfast was good. Great coffee, cereal, fresh fruit, French toast. I would definitely recommend this b&b and would stay here again.

Could be a 5 star but needs updating in a lot of areas. Paint and carpet for starters. Bath had no tub stopper and elongated toilet seat on round toilet doesn't work. Beautiful view and location is great. Employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were varied and fresh fruit was indeed fresh.

We are sorry about the toilet size in your room this has been addressed as soon as we seen your review. We have also went through and shampooed the carpets and they look a lot better now. This person did not stay with us therefore how can she leave a review when she didn't even see the room? She made a reservation and did not read on her confirmation, also this is in the General information, that we check all Longhouse Manor guests in at the Longhouse Lodge Motel located 1,000 feet below the Manor right on the main highway.We also call all online guests, including Christine, checking in that day in the morning to let them know to come to the Motel. Christine said there was no one around at the Manor. We were full at the Manor that night, but all the other guests must have been out enjoying our beautiful area. When we finally spoke with Christine, she was absolutely rude on the phone. There was no excuse for her behavior.

Cute bed and breakfast, mostly clean (some suspicious stains around, funny smell in common area), very large room, comfortable bed, lovely woman who made breakfast and cleaned the rooms. Very close to all main attractions. Pretty much exactly what we expected. Worth what we paid.

Has a view of Lake Seneca. It is comfortable and nice. On the surface it looks clean and very inviting, but carpets not clean-put on white socks and walk to the bathroom, yikes your socks are dirty, light switches not clean, lamps dusty...I admit I am a neat freak, but thick dust and the game room green carpet with 1" edges with a white hue due to dust, is not my thing.

Caution
The 8.8/10 rating is not representative of the property. The house on the hill was in terrible condition. The main entrance was littered with leaves and other debris. The recreation room was a wreck. Breakfast on the balcony included ashtrays on the tables that were filled with rainwater and cigarette butts. The room we slept in was fairly clean and comfortable but smelled musty. The property obviously had better days. The landscaping was over-grown with many weeds.

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. The negative attitude in your review is quite obvious. Your opinion is certainly in the small minority for sure. The property is up to date and all rooms in the Manor are beautiful and clean for sure! I hope you find something to your likiing in the future.

AMAZING stay! The lodge is a secret gold mine. Pool is heated! Breakfast is amazing! Very clean! All the amenities (pool towels, games, toiletries, etc.) And the scene is wonderful. We got lucky finding the Longhouse Lodge. It is family owned and you can tell that the whole family (grandma cooks and cleans) take pride in their work. Words can’t say enough about how impressed, and I’m picky, how perfect the Longhouse Lodge is.
