As others have said, this is a gorgeous home equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. My sons loved the bunk room, I was more than comfortable in the lower level queen room, and my mother was able to navigate the single flight of stairs to the gorgeous main floor, where she enjoyed the master suite and was able to navigate the hardwood floors with no trouble. The indoor and outdoor fireplaces were wonderful. We laughed at ourselves for bringing wood for what we thought was a wood-burning one indoors; it’s gas—and easy to use (and very realistic, so, BONUS!)The location of the property was ideal for us, as we went skiing in Cataloochee and met nearby family for lunch in Waynesville. They were able to drive back to the cabin for a visit—the games provided came in handy (Banagrams FTW!)We had no trouble finding the property, but were glad our rental car had AWD for the last steep turn up the driveway. Folks with mountain-area driving should have no trouble navigating the brief winding roads up… we are just new to that terrain. Finally, a shoutout to the small touches that made this place over the top: coffee filters! paper towels! every kitchen amenity you might need! abundant towels! and easy checkout instructions & smooth communication with the owners. A great place to stay. We would love to return someday.
