“Rustic, authentic Adirondack Lake House with plenty of room for the family. Plenty of outdoor equipment including a great dock to fish off of. Indoors was cozy with plenty of warming options on chilly nights and rainy days. Kitchen was well equipped and very spacious. Multiple dining areas including a very nice sun porch. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for authentic lake house experience.”

“The cabin is quiet and serene as described. But, please be aware of several things. 1. The “coin laundry” is not on site and the local laundromat hours are limited. 2. There is no foil, Saran Wrap, Tupperware or storage containers for leftovers, zip locks/bags, or cooking oil. Salt and pepper are the only spices on site. There were ten people on our reservation and we ran out of dish soap, toilet paper, and dishwasher soap on the third day. When these items were requested they were denied. The...

“The property is conveniently located off the thruway and is very close to Gore. The house itself was great for our party, three families with 4 kids under 3. The listing was a little confusing that there are two completely separate houses. We all fit in the main house. I know the listing spoke of an apartment but I assumed they were attached. “Our stay at David’s home was absolutely wonderful. We have stayed in many VRBO’s and without a doubt this five star. The house is so clean and there was plenty of kitchen supplies for whatever you want to cook. Cleaning supplies were well stocked and a box of tissues in every room. “Beautiful place to get out of the daily routine”

“The house is spacious with great separation between bedrooms, clean and well stocked. We were 3 moms traveling with 5 kids ages 2-8. The hot tub is amazing as is the property itself. Also easy to find in the dark with clear instructions.”

“We had a great stay at the South Shore Retreat House! Fully accommodated our family of 12 adults and six children. We were hosting a party at Tinney's Tavern in Lake Desolation and the South Shore House was a perfect place to retreat to at the end of the evening! Kyle was super responsive to any questions we had.
