"The room is big by New York standards but the hotel feels a bit old and outdated. Needs a face lift urgently. Rooms need better maintenance, specially the bathrooms. Hotel cleanliness has much to be improved upon. And service was bellow average. Had to call every day sometimes even three times to get the courtesy bottles of water, at some point I was told they didn’t have any and if I wanted, I could go at 10 o’clock at night to the corner shop to buy some. For some strange reason, our cleaning lady decided to remove our sheets and blankets from the beds, leaving us only with the comforter. We had to call several times to fix this situation. In general, I consider that this hotel does not live up to the standards of the Westin chain. They have much to improve. I will not be staying here in my future visits to New York and I don’t recommend this hotel. Still, I must admit that the location is very good inconvenient."

"Tuve una buena experiencia en el Pod 51 Hotel en general. Las instalaciones, la ubicación y el ambiente del hotel fueron muy agradables, y la estancia resultó cómoda. Sin embargo, hubo algunos detalles que podrían mejorar. El aire acondicionado dejó de funcionar durante aproximadamente una hora, y tuve que desconectarlo y volverlo a conectar yo mismo para que funcionara nuevamente. Además, solicité una plancha para la ropa, pero estaba quemada, lo que provocó que mi camisa se manchara con algo que ya no fue posible quitar. Tampoco me gustó que me cobraran un cargo adicional de aproximadamente 40 dólares por “facilities” (instalaciones), ya que en ningún momento se me informó claramente sobre este costo extra. Además, considero que las amenidades ofrecidas son muy limitadas para el monto que se cobra. Fuera de esos inconvenientes, todo lo demás estuvo muy bien y tuve una estancia positiva."
