“Couldn't fault this hotel at all. From the beautiful grounds, the grandeur of the building, the impeccable customer service, the delicious food, the spacious, elegant room, the clean, luxurious spa. The drinks were a tad on the pricey side, but the mid week room price including spa access was excellent value for money. Would come here again in heartbeat. ”

“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. “Everything was as we expected. Great staff, friendly bar and a great steak night. Not forgetting a fabulous breakfast. The only negative were the impressive bird droppings on my windscreen after I made the mistake of parking under the trees in the car park. Long journey to Tesco Wellingborough to find a car wash!”

“Very clean. Is a parking lot nearby 2 mins opposite church £5.80 for 24hrs. Got email with instructions to enter. You need to get code to open little lock boxes just outside front door. Is a restaurant next door, think same owner. Were friendly if need advice to enter. Might want earplugs Sunday morning as church bells ring, but i like that. Overall great place and very reasonable price. Right downtown too. ”
