“Charming hotel and grounds, really friendly and accommodating staff, and exceptionally dog-friendly. The harness/lead sets in the room were both a surprise and a delight. We didn't get to try the spa this time, however other guests mentioned the spa(s) were really good too. Quite a bit of work being done in the grounds, but all looks like additional development/features, but in Feb, so not a problem at all. We'll definitely be back.”

“This was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna. Really good breakfasts served in bedrooms and at the nearby sister-hotel Milsoms. The fine dining at the main restaurant on the nearby River Stour was sublime,...
