Frozen in time, Yellowknife floating homes scattered throughout the lake. Starry nights and cold clean air make for great night photography.
This is why you fly 3000 miles, 14 hours. This is why you stand out in -30 weather, slowly freezing, your camera turns into an ice cube, and dies. I have seen a total eclipse. I have watched dozens of satellites cross the sky at night, I have seen meteors, some that broke apart and turned different colors, I have seen super moons and sun spots and so many things that make the sky a truly amazing thing to look up at. This, this was something that even with my pre-excitement I can't even begin to describe how enchanting it was to witness. I stood there for well over a hour watching the dance of light. At one point the Aurora stretched from horizon to horizon with waves of color dancing from one direction to the other.

El lugar no es el mejor además que es muy caro las instalaciones no son muy buenas además que toda la noche había un ruido raro con el aire pero no muy recomendable

We went to see the Aurora. Was getting home at 3am. Thought we could sleep in but it was very noisy above. I recommend people wear mocassins or quiet slippers and avoid heavy activity in the bedroom area. Dog barking didn’t help either. I recommend to put a curtain on the kitchen window, the sun ...

This is an excellent accommodation in the perfect location for access to the lakes and Aurora locations. The host has thought of everything. All the little extras you need it’s there for you! I would definitely recommend staying here and will return. Thanks for a great stay.
