I stayed at Best Western Hotel from 31 December 2025 to 5 January 2026.
The full amount for the stay was paid during check-in and split 50/50 between myself and my friend. However, on 22 January, I noticed an unauthorized charge of AED 3,033.71 made by the hotel to my card.
I immediately contacted the reception. Unfortunately, the staff member I spoke with was unprofessional and insisted that the booking had not been paid, despite me providing clear proof of payment. The issue was not resolved at reception level. The team should have first verified their bank records before charging my card again, and only contacted me if any discrepancy had actually been found.
I raised a complaint with the hotel owner the same day. I received an apology and written confirmation that the transaction was cancelled.
While I appreciate that the charge was eventually reversed, this situation is unacceptable and reflects very poor service and lack of proper internal checks. Guests should not have to deal with unauthorized charges weeks after their stay.
