Con una ubicación inmejorable en pleno corazón de la ciudad, este apartamento de un dormitorio es parte de un clásico edificio de Madrid que ha sido elegantemente reformado con materiales de alta calidad. La propiedad está situada en la famosa y céntrica plaza de la Puerta del Sol, donde se encuentra el Kilómetro Cero. Esta plaza es famosa por contener el reloj de las campanadas de Año Nuevo. Los españoles comen 12 uvas al ritmo de este reloj al llegar la medianoche del 31 de diciembre.

Todas las atracciones que ofrece la ciudad se encuentran a poca distancia caminando: la Plaza Mayor está a 5 minutos, la Gran Vïa a poco más de 5 minutos, y tras ella la entrada a los modernos barrios de Chueca y Malasaña, el Mercado de San Miguel a 10 minutos, el Palacio Real y la Catedral de Almudena o el Parque del Buen Retiro a unos 15 minutos.

Este apartamento es la base perfecta para aquellos que visitan la capital española. El apartamento de Espoz y Mina se hizo con un concepto abierto. Incorpora cocina, salón y comedor en el mismo espacio. El hall de entrada se abre en un pasillo que termina con la cocina que ha sido diseñado para la practicidad y la sofisticación. Cuenta con lavavajillas, horno, nevera grande, vitrocerámica y todos los utensilios necesarios durante la estancia. En el área de la sala de estar hay mucho encanto y puede encontrar todo el confort que necesita. Una alfombra muy suave presenta una mesa de café blanca que separa la sala de estar del comedor. La elegante mesa de comedor puede acomodar hasta cuatro personas. El apartamento tiene una inusual terraza con espacio suficiente para que los huéspedes disfruten de la posibilidad de usarlo para una comida rápida o incluso para una copa de vino después de un largo día en la ciudad.
El dormitorio principal ha sido diseñado con los mismos estándares de todo el apartamento. Esta estancia refleja comodidad, espacio y estilo. El elegante dormitorio tiene una cama doble (1.50m x 2.00m), con ropa de cama de lujo, colchón y almohadas de alta calidad que hacen aún más cómoda esta cama. Este espacio se completa con armario empotrado que ofrece almacenamiento suficiente y un escritorio para un hacer un inciso si quiere trabajar. El cuarto de baño en suite es de estilo moderno y cuenta con una gran cabina de ducha.

The property was as expected. Vanrays Management was openly hostile. They had a chip on their shoulder and a combative attitude about every one of our requests. Upon arrival, we had no towel larger than a hand towel and it took two days of arguing for them to send bath towels AND they still insisted we had bath towels and they had sent a second pair of bath towels. Our visit was 12 nights without them asking us if we needed fresh linens or towels. I've done business with HomeAway/VRBO for thirty years ALL OVER EUROPE and have complained on only two other occasions. This management company is in a very select group of the worst. Their fallback statement was to look in our storage areas for what we needed. The apartment had no "House Rules" or directions on how to use any of the appliances. This is a major shortfall as it forced us to call Vanrays for help and they made it clear that they didn't want to help and that we were on our own. When we asked for help with an appliance, we were told that we were given directions at check-in, which we were not, and that was sufficient. We would tell them we had not been instructed in the use of an appliance and they would say, yes you have. How does one consider that a productive dialog? I've attached two photos of their storage areas. If any of you would like to dig around in these areas, be my guest. Respectfully submitted...

My husband and I stayed at Espoz y Mina for 5 days and it was perfect for us! The location is perfect for tourists wishing to see and do all that Madrid has to offer. We were steps away form Puerta del Sol and the metro. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay - including laundry! We didn't use the kitchen very much b/c we wanted to go out and experience the local flavor, but there were lots of pots and pans and all you'd need to prepare meals. The refrigerator was very large, as well. We spent many mornings on the terrace watching the beautiful sunrise over the city. You won't regret staying at this property. It's fabulous!

My husband and I spent 6 nights in this flat and we didn't want to leave. The flat itself was very clean and comfortable. It gave us space to spread out, but still felt cozy. The patio was a lovely space to sit in the evenings and have a nightcap and listen to the sounds of the city below. Even though we were in a very busy and loud part of the city, the soundproof windows worked very well. We didn't hear any noise at all. Check in was easy and they even offered an airport transportation service which was super helpful. The location was literally 6 steps from the Puerta del Sol and the Sol metro station. The Sol metro stop is a major hub connecting to so many metro lines. There were so many wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance. I would definitely stay here again. The only caution I would give is that this is on the 6th floor. There is a small lift, but it broke down for a day and we had to climb the stairs. Wasn't a big deal for us, but it would have been for someone with mobility issues.

This is a fantastically located apartment minutes walk from Sol Metro station and Plaza Major. It has everything you need for a city stay and the balcony makes the space feel light ans airy. Aircon works well and the bed is comfy. Would definitely stay again.

The location is really good to see all the sights and around good shopping. The metro is just steps away. Be prepared though for a lot of people and noise coming from the bars nearby. The apartment is small but didn’t feel too small. While we were there It was too cold to use the balcony but if it was hot you should know that there is an awning to provide shade. I wish I could say that the apartment pics on VRBO did not do it justice. What we found was a sofa that is not that comfortable and needs to be replaced or at the very least cleaned. The housekeeping could also be really improved with baseboards being cleaned and the desk top wiped down.

We visited my daughter in Madrid while she was studying abroad. This was a great place right on the center of the city. It had everything we needed and we were very happy with the apartment. Host were great, check in easy, clean, quiet! Taxi can’t get to the door, so you need to get your luggage down a cobble stone street or two to get to there, but we handled it ok. 😀 would stay here again for sure!

The apartment is lovely but needs some maintenance. The patio door did not close; the lock mechanism was loose. The front door needed a repairman to tighten the two locks so we could lock it properly, Management did respond to fix the front door. Otherwise the apartment was comfortable and well located in the city.

Great little European apartment for singles or couples, right in the heart of Sol. It’s on a pedestrian-only street (under municipal construction as of June 2023), so plan ahead if you have a lot of luggage. Our Uber driver dropped us at the other end of the street and we had to drag 7 bags through the construction murk. Luckily, the building’s doorman was super helpful when we arrived, and we later found another street we could take our luggage down when we left. The air conditioning was both a treat and necessity in the heat, and they had a covered patio that was enjoyable in the early and late hours. The apartment was relatively quiet when the windows were closed—there was even a party at the rooftop restaurant across the street and we only heard a dull din. The kitchen is well equipped but plan to bring your own toiletries. The apartment was mostly clean, except our socks picked up a lot of dust and hair walking around. The hosts were absolutely fantastic. They were accommodating to our arrival and departure times and even rushed over to help us when we couldn’t figure out how to unlock the laundry machine door.

This property is a supreme location, just off Plaza de Sol and surrounded by numerous nice restaurants and bars. The owners have done a nice job of putting in a modern home in a very old building. It is small, but they have done a good job of maximizing the space using a sliding door between bedroom and living space to allow a bigger feel and the balcony adds useful space. Having said that there are issues with incredibly noisy plumbing, complicated heat/AC and lack of places to hang towels. First the plumbing. Any time you or the neighbors run water., flush toilets or run the dishwasher there is a loud rushing sound,; maybe they had to install a forceful pumping system to get all the water up to this floor? Furthermore, you can not run any water, even kitchen sink while someone is showering or you completely lose water, We actually lost shower water twice for about 20 sec during our week stay when we were not using any other water source so we presume it was the neighbors usage that impacted this. The heating/cooling system is very complex. There are 2 thermostats, presumable one controls the forced air/AC system and the other controls the water heat. The former seemed easy enough to work out but on the 3rd day we came home and the place was way too hot. So we tried shutting off everything. The water heater thermostat then apparently kicked on and that was extremely noisy presumably due to the water issues described above. Some directions on how to use this would maybe help but am guessing that the temps of surrounding units probably impacts this the most. Those things are too difficult to fix so you just have to decide if you can tolerate it or not. But 2 things the owners could fix are: 1) provides some hooks to hang the towels. The only place to hang a towel is on the towel heater in the shower (which was covered in dust ). We actually had no hand towels while we were there which solved the problem of where to put any hand towels in the tiny bathroom. 2) ask the cleaning people not to put the wet mop back into the cupboard since it has no way to dry in there and then gets moldy. Any one with mold allergies would have a problem.

It’s a great apt perfect condition modern, good hot water and all is great and new...the big but is that you need good sleep when walking all day and it has a system next to the room that roars very hard very 10-15min and honestly I couldn’t nor my wife sleep well. I send a Email to the property administration and Did not even get and answer on this matter and on others inqueries where very responsable and fast working..I think they will solve this minor problem and this will be a 5star stay. Another thing Location is unbeatable for sure! That’s my best honest review —

The apartment is very modern with all you would need for an enjoyable stay. Whilst the kitchen is small it is more than adequate to cook a great meal. The air-conditioning is very good and the bed is very comfortable. It also has a small patio which is great to sit out at night with a glass of wine to listen to the sounds of Madrid. The apartment is situated right in the centre of the action of Madrid and the apartment is soundproofed to a level to allow a good nights sleep. When the door to the bed room is shut little to no noise is heard from the outside.Cristina is very helpful and attends to all your need and requirements in a very prompt manner. In all a great apartment to spend time in Madrid.

The suite is exactly as shown in the pictures... stylish, modern, well equipped and clean. It is very comfortable and everything worked as it should (great air conditioning). The nice outdoor terrace is a rare bonus. The apartment's central location made it easy to walk wherever we wanted to go. Puerto del Sol is surrounded by endless shops, restaurants and bars, so it is very active during the day and well into the night (bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper). Daniel and Cristina were very easy to communicate with. They arranged a private transfer service to pick us up at the airport (highly recommended), and Cristina was waiting for us at the apartment to check us in. She gave us a lots of information about places we wanted to see, and sent us more information by email later that evening. She was generous with her time and was quick to respond to any question we had during our one-week stay. Thank you Cristina and Daniel!
