I was very disappointed with the condition and cleanliness of our room. It did not seem to have been properly cleaned between guests. We found a fingernail and wrappers under the bed, which was particularly unpleasant.
The towels were old and frayed, the pillows were lumpy, and the bedding looked worn and had noticeable pilling.
I personally enjoy staying at Marriott properties, especially because of the quality and comfort of their beds and bedding. In fact, I have always considered Marriott beds to be among the best hotel beds. Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to those expectations.
The room and bathroom needed much more thorough cleaning, and the condition of the towels and bedding was well below what I would expect from a Westin and from the Marriott brand in general.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience, particularly because I expected a much higher standard from this hotel.
