“We loved our time here. Although the weather wasn’t great, we enjoyed wonderful walks on the beach - particularly crossing the bridge to Barmouth. The hills behind the house are beautiful too, and the whole area is just lovely. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed the novelty of having a record player - so much so that we’ve come home and bought one! I left something behind and Eloise kindly offered to post it back to me too. We’d definitely return!”

“The experience was amazing from check in to check out. Really enjoyed using the spa. Which was followed by outstanding food in the restaurant. Breakfast was also very nice this morning with a very good choice. The staff were extremely pleasant in all areas of the hotel. But a special mention for John on reception, who couldn’t do enough for all visitors. Also Cici was the waitress was informative and very funny a great asset to the restaurant. ”

“Accommodation is in well furnished self catering or modern rooms. This is not a hotel. Access and parking is convoluted and is not ideal for those with mobility problems. Rooms are accessed via a staircase. Room to room noise is evident and Saturday night is lively across the road until midnight. Breakfast is served at the 1176 restaurant and is very good with friendly staff and good locally sourced ingredients. There is nearby street parking for blue badge holders but would not recommend...

“New management has made many upgrades to the property. This was the first time I visited, so I didn't miss the old quirks; I found the place delightful. The Snug is a lovely lounge with wood-burning fire that was great for a cold night. I'm sure the outside tables would be lovely in warm weather. The location right next to the footbridge is charming. I stayed in room 2; the bathroom was a bit small and awkward, but I understand they have to work with the structure that's there.”

“Enjoyable stay despite the COVID restrictions. Very convenient for the restaurants, shops and beach. Plenty of parking. Hotel was comfortable and had all COVID measures implemented.”
