Fantastic Stay!

The La Hoya House on Bald Head Island was the perfect set up for my family. We had plenty of room for 4 adults and our toddler, a short/fun golf cart ride to the beach, and peaceful atmosphere! The hosts were very knowledgeable about the Island and helped with any question regarding transportation, restaurants, and the clubs on the Island. Can't wait to visit again!

Nice family vacation on BHI

We enjoyed our stay with iTrip on BHI. Their communication before, during, and after the trip was a clear, helpful, and responsive. The home was well equipped, comfortable, and made for an enjoyable vacation for our extended family. We would book again through this local business!

Convenient and comfortable

La Hoya is located in the middle of the island, so it's easy to get to all points of interest. We found the home well-equipped and comfortable, despite the extreme heat on the week we were there. The three golf carts were key! We also used the bikes, and they were great. Everyone enjoyed the home and its proximity to island fun!

Great Property!

Property is exactly as advertised and we look forward to returning. Plenty of space and easy check-in. Golf carts were great and the management was very responsive. Definitely recommend!

All we wanted, all we needed

Once again, our family enjoyed La Jolla. Greg was very attentive to our needs, particularly when we had problems with the electricity. I would highly recommend this property and this company. Two comments: lousy, toilet paper really good knives.

BHI Vacation

La Hoya was a great home to settle in and relax with our family for the week on BHI. We are BHI repeat vacationers, but this was our first stay at La Hoya. The home was comfortable, clean and inviting. Great bird watching - it was like living in a tree house. Fabulous location - just minutes from the beach, the grocery store and frequent checks to spot an alligator. It was really nice to have three golf carts to use with our group of 6 adult family members. There's no place like BHI to relax and recharge, and it was great to stay at La Hoya on this visit to the island. Thank you.

Great for family get together

This home worked out very well for our extended family of parents, children and 4 small grandchildren. Bedrooms were plenty large, bathrooms served our needs. Big dining room table- and a family space that we initially thought small but ended up working well for our party of 6 adults and 4 small children. Many side porches. Proximiate to the BHI Club, which has great swim center for old and young alike- as well as golf and tennis. Also close to the natural parts of the island, which was what captivated us about BHI. Also beautiful beaches. Our first visit to the island- we never thought ourselves beach people, but BHI has made us think twice. It was just wonderful.

Great house

Everything was there that we needed. Great areas to have some time to ourselves! Enjoyed having 3 carts! They made our trips to the beach east! The only complaint was the memberships to the clubs to be able to use the pool. With renting Friday to Friday, we were only able to use it Monday thru Thursday at the BHIC. We had to make a reservation for a 3 hour time. If I had known the Shoals Club there was no reservation time we would have made reservations there. Enjoy LaHoya!!

Fantastic house on bald head

We have been coming to the island every year for several years now and have stayed at many different houses across the island. This year we chose la Hoya because the layout was accommodating to our large group and has three golf carts … a must have. This was probably our favorite house we have stayed at not only because of the cleanliness and fully stocked kitchen along with spices ( such a plus) , the beds and linens were very nice, everything was in working order - but to top it off we have never had such great communication with the rental management. They were so helpful and would keep us updated throughout the hurricane. Their check ins and check out process was easy. They even accommodated an early check in for us to accommodate my elderly parents. Despite the terrible weather we experienced, we very much enjoyed our stay at La Hoya and would list definitely rent again.

Lovely House!

My family of 9 comes to BHI once a year for family vacation, and often we try new homes. This one was walkable to the beach, which was very convenient. It also came with 3 carts, which any larger family coming to the island will appreciate. Overall it was comfortable and clean. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars overall was because there were a few visitors while we were there. Understably maintenance has to be done, but maybe install an automated watering system instead of having people come water the plants. Felt like we were being watched almost, having people come every day. Other than that, great house, would recommend!

Amazing Vacation

We have been going to Bald Head for the past 8 years and this was the best experience we have had. Sometimes houses on BHI are great but the rental company isn't - or the rental company is great but the house is not. Not only was La Hoya amazing, the commication with the rental company was top notch. They went above and beyond when we couldn't get a tram reservation in time for checkout. They also allow early check-in if the house has been cleaned earlier than the check-in time. There was plenty of trash bags, dish soap, laundry detergent etc not to mention beach chairs, beach towels and THREE carts. We had 4 teenagers with us and the location is perfect. In between BHI Club and the Market, and super close to the beach and the nature overlook. The screened porches were immaculate and serene. We didn't know if we would have to bring the dog, so the pet friendly option was a plus. Even though it is pet friendly, it was super clean and you wouldn't know that pets were allowed - except for the available dog bowls and crate. Book La Hoya!!

Five Star Stay!

We had a five star stay at Stella Maris on Bald Head Island. The home was spacious, beautifully updated, and perfect for our group with plenty of room to relax. We loved the peaceful location and easy access to the beach, shops, and market, and the golf carts made getting around the island simple and fun. The kitchen was well stocked, the home was spotless, and communication with the iTrip team was clear and helpful throughout our stay. We would absolutely return.

La Hoya

We had a wonderful stay at La Hoya. What a beautiful place. We enjoyed the porches where we could sit and watch all the cardinals come up for food. We also had a deer visit us in the front yard which was really neat. The home is furnished with comfortable beds and the kitchen has nice dishes, cookware and spices. The living room is great, but could have had a little more seating for our group, but we made it work. I would highly recommend renting La Hoya for your next vacation.

Wonderful Week!

Cape Escape offered a beautifully furnished, well equipped 'escape' for us! The home is very roomy and the best equipped vacation home we have stayed in in all of the 15+ years we have been renting vacation homes on the NC coast. The location is great - very central to everything on Bald Head, while being very private at the same time. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax, visit, and enjoy their vacation. The three golf carts worked out so well for us too, as different groups had the option of doing different things, and not stranding anyone without transportation. We loved Cape Escape!
