Great house for our family of 6! Loved the layout with one bed/bath on the ground floor for grandparents while we were able to stay upstairs with our kids…and the screened in porch was lovely. Melanie was super responsive. Some minor things- bikes need some work, hot water doesn’t last more than a few min- but nothing significant and Melanie was super appreciative when we let her know. Definitely hoping to be back!

The house was beautiful and the host was very quick to respond. Overall we had a great stay, I'm only putting 4 stars instead of 5 because the smallest kids bike was unusable. My nine year old was sad he couldn't ride bikes, but we made the best of it. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family had a wonderful October stay! The cottage was absolutely beautiful and Melanie was a wonderful host! We were so impressed with the space, comfortable & beautiful rooms, the nature surrounding the cottage and all the great touches that made us feel welcome and at home! We also really enjoyed the convenience of being able to use the 2 golf carts! We loved hopping in a golf cart and driving to all the different beach accesses, restaurants, the lighthouse, market, BHI club, marina and just exploring the island! We loved seeing all the deer and beautiful birds too! We did not want to leave and looking forward to returning!

First Time to BHI

We had a wonderful stay at Palm Paradise. The home was clean and perfect for our group of 4 people dogs. This was our first visit to BHI, and even though the weather started out chilly, it quickly warmed and we were able to take advantage of the outdoor activities. The beach was just gorgeous, and we loved being there when it wasn’t crowded. Early March is hit or miss with restaurant hours and even being open, but we adjusted and ate more meals at the house. The beds were super comfortable, and we loved the porch.

Mother’s Day Getaway

We stayed at Palm Paradise for Mother’s Day with our two kids and in-laws. The house was spacious for all and beyond our expectations! Its location is close to shops and the beach and nestled in the woodsier part of the island. Melanie was very responsive and the check in and check out instructions were clear so that we got in and out easily. We will definitely come back and stay for future trips to BHI!

First Class Accommodations in an Enchanting Forest

The house is light and open. Well appointed. The screen porch was awesome -lovely breeze and a variety of seating. My bed was very comfortable and the bedroom windows looked out into the trees, which are amazing. The kitchen was cheerful with plenty of bar stools for chatting with the cook. The location is convenient to the marina, the beach and the market. It was just 2 of us so we didn't need all the bedrooms. We stayed 3 nights so we didnt need the laundry but it was very well organized. We tried out both golf carts and 2 of the bikes, all great. We could ride bikes to the beach or the marina, easy peasy. Melanie is a great host. We knew if we needed her help (we didn't) that she would respond very quickly because we had exchanged a few messages while setting up our reservations. She was kind and patient with our schedule changes and replied quickly and enthusiastically. She loves Bald Head Island and wants to be sure her guest enjoy their stay. It really is a Palm Paradise.

Perfect Getaway Spot

Updated and spacious house that was perfect for our family. The location is in a private and quiet area and only minutes to the beach, shops, and activities on the island. Lots of games for the family to enjoy our time together, especially out on the beautiful 3 season room. Melanie was a welcoming and responsive host. Highly recommend!

Wonderful property

This was a beautiful, well appointed home. Plenty of towels for a large group. It was great having 2 carts so our group could go different places. It was only 1 mile or less from the shopping and restaurants. Plenty of bikes for the group. The owner was very sweet and great to work with. I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful home

We stayed at Sabal Palm Cottages over the New Years break and enjoyed our time. Added bonus that the house was dog friendly! The kids loved the bunk bed room - kitchen was nicely stocked. Melanie was a very gracious host!

Perfect getaway!!

We were thrilled to have found Palm Paradise. From communication with owner to luxury bedding, big comfy couch, screened in porch, games, decor and cleanliness this home is by far our favorite! Melanie was super helpful and responsive when Hurricane Ian was on its way. Given the option to hunker down one more night so we were not traveling as it hit was extremely kind. We plan to return to BHI next summer and hope that this property is available!!! If you are on the fence to book...do it! You won't be disappointed!

Perfect stay at BHI

Palm paradise was the perfect spot for my husband and I and our pup to escape to for a week in BHI. The home had everything we could need, was comfy, and beautifully decorated. The owner was super helpful when I reached out with questions. We cannot wait to go back to Palm Paradise!
