Ferry Tale Retreat is a lovely home with everything one could need for a fabulous week at Bald Head! Katie was very attentive and helpful during check in and throughout the week. The kitchen was very well appointed and organized. Only feedback would be that the green cart windshield was very difficult to see through when driving at night and into the sun. Won't keep us from renting again though! Thank you!

18 Years!

Ferrytale Retreat was the perfect location and living arrangement for us to celebrate year 18 of coming to BHI with our friends! The house was welcoming and so well stocked with everything we could have imagined. We all agreed it was a home we would return to.

Everything about our stay was amazing! We loved the location, the access to BHI Club for the pool, the two golf carts and the unlimited supplies of beach towels, chairs and beach toys for the kids! BHI exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to come back!

So happy with this property

We spent a great week in baldhead Island at this property. There are windows everywhere that invite so much light into the family room and dining room. I couldn’t believe how well stocked the kitchen was with all the “little things” that you never remember that you need. They also have all of the drawers and cabinets labeled to help find everything you could possibly need in the kitchen They provided plenty of beach towels, the pantry is huge for you to organize your own groceries. The two golf carts worked great, as well as the bicycles. I would not hesitate to rent this property again.

Wonderful House

This was our first time staying on Bald Head Island and we really enjoyed this house. It is so beautifully decorated, and really well equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The beds were really comfortable, and the sitting area was a great space to hang out in. The communication with Edie and Katie was amazing - they were so responsive and very helpful. Having two golf carts and the bikes was such a wonderful to get around the island.

Well Stocked Home with lovely morning coffee deck

The home is stocked with everything we needed with loads of extras! It is very close to beach access for amazing sunsets. Plenty of room to hang out in Living/Dining areas as well as comfortable beds.

Perfect weekend getaway!

This was my first time staying on the island (we've only done day trips before) and everything about it was perfect. Leading up to the trip, Edie & Katie were very easy to communicate with and sent us all the details we needed - check-in process, ferry/tram information, a map of the island and things to do. The house was very bright, spacious and had all of the essentials needed (kitchen was fully stocked, beach towels, chairs, bikes, etc.) I stayed with my family and our spouses and the house was spacious enough that we didn't feel like we were on top of eachother the whole time. We were walking distance to the beach and a quick golf cart ride to anywhere else on the island. My family and I all fell in love with BHI during our stay and we wish we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

Would 100% stay again

The location was PERFECT. Quiet cul-de-sac with quick access to south beach. It was great to have the 2 gold carts and the house and rooms worked great for our family and a couple of our son's friends. Katie and Edie communicated well for our entire stay. We would definitely rent this house again!

Outstanding all around!!

We stayed for the week with our 4 adult kids 20.23, 25 and 27 year old with our oldest’s wife. We had the most incredible time together - and Ferry Tale property made it even more spectacular. Close to the beach access, and nice views from the 3 decks. The property was super clean and freshly painted / maintained and not one detail was left out. The owners / managers obviously take pride in their beautiful property. We will definitely book again!!

First Time to Bald Head- Will be back!

Such a wonderful visit to beautiful Bald Head Island. The house is in the perfect location- right in between the Market and the Bald Head Island Club and across the street from beach access. Can't get much better. We loved that the house was a little tucked away and private. The hosts definitely go the extra mile to make sure their guests feel comfortable- the house has everything you need ranging from all your kitchen needs to every board game ever created. The layout of the house is extremely comfortable and everyone slept great. One thing to note is that the blinds in the bunk bed room don't block any light, so if you have kids with early bedtimes make sure you bring some blackout blinds or it will look like Noon until the sun goes down. Communication with the hosts was the best I've ever experienced. I highly highly recommend this property and we plan on coming back next year!

We recently stayed at this property on BHI the first week of June. The location is fantastic: central to the east and west parts of the island and close to the beach. The house was very clean and is well equipped in the kitchen, beach toys and games, and plenty of beach towels. We highly recommend this property for any family.
