“The property wasn’t ideal because the reception are had no air conditioning so there were mosquitoes bitten while sitting there. The room wasn’t ready on arrival at 2.30 pm. Some items were missing for the third person. the room was ready for a couple as though it meant to be triple.”

“I've stayed at quite a few of the nicest hotels in Colombo over the past few years, both with my family and alone, and I'm really pleased I tried ITC this year. It's probably now my joint favourite alongside the Hilton Colombo Residences. It is superior to the Shangri-La (where the rooms are shoeboxes and the feeling is sterile) and Mt Lavinia (which seems too obsequious to a colonial past!). The lobby area is great and I felt like spending a lot of time there.
The vibe feels more high end Sri...

“Its a sound enough hotel for the business traveler but otherwise pretty ordinary. It's in a shabby part of town with no local ameities or attractions worth the bother. The bar is dismal and the restaurant poor. The staff do a good job of making the best of the little they have to wotk with.”

“This is my very first stay at this hotel & I was told it's under a new ownership for the last 6-7 years. The Front Desk & the Housekeeping crew were very friendly, courteous & attentive. I was given two free 500ml bottles drinking water per day which was very helpful.
The bedroom & bathroom linens were very clean without any stains. The air conditioner was perfect for me, but the elevator failed for two and a half days due to lack of spare parts. I was on the 3rd floor, and the Front...

“I have travelled the World extensively, and this property is possibly my favourite of any I have stayed in. It maintains old world colonial character and charm, with its very high standards, excellent staff, and wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. We stayed 8 years ago and have been planning g a return since. We are however devastated to hear that the hotel will close at the end of its current lease in August 2027, so this was likely to be our last ever visit.”
