“Location is very beautiful and the cabin is very comfy. The 2-2.5 mile drive up is very manageable in dry conditions. However, it rained while we were there, and the mud was quite slippery going up or down. We had AWD, but it was still was difficult at times.”

“The only great thing about this listing were the beds. It was next to the main road entering Carmel so it is noisy and the property is actually not a home (this site is called vacation rentals by owners, right?) it is a run down inn. The bathroom has not been renovated in ages and the drain let off a sulphur scent that could be smelled in the bedroom. The description mentions an outdoor terrace but it is just an unappealing space off the parking space.”

“Cute little house, utilizes it’s layout to maximize the space. The stairs are more like a ladder, which was fine for our party but would not suite anyone too old or too young. It was a hot week and the cooling systems in place are inadequate to keep up with multiple days of 100+ degree heat. Driveway is small, steep and parking is very limited. With the lake full this year, the 360 degree views from the outdoor decks were spectacular!”

“We just spent four days there with our family and best friends. We loved being right on the lake! The property owners and on-site property. Managers are absolutely awesome! So thoughtful for their communication and productivity. Sitting out on the balcony in the evening is dreamy. There are beautiful, white light strong all throughout the trees, and the view of the lake is stunning. The house is older, but has been upgraded. It is a Lakehouse, so I imagine that people to come and stay there...

“What a wonderful place to stay..the place wonderful for the price. The views and outdoor living was awesome. Richard and Allison were the very best property managers I have encountered. The only tiny negative (and it’s only negative if you have bad knees or are older) is the trek to get to the boat slip. Other than that it was perfect”

“This very sweet motel is smack dab in the middle of Carmel Valley close to restaurants and wine tasting rooms. It is extremely convenient, safe, and comfortable. The staff go above and beyond to try to make your stay as wonderful as possible. They are very generous with Keurig pods, water, and little things that are nice to have in a motel like wine opener and cheese knife. Don't hesitate to stay in this truly lovely motel.”
