“We had a wonderful stay and beautiful experience at this property. The guest house is very well appointed, spotlessly clean with a beautiful zen garden patio. Everything was top notch! Communication was excellent, proactive and responsive. We appreciated Jae and Bob allowing us to check in prior to standard check in time. They are the most friendly and gracious hosts. We truly hope to plan another stay in the future.”

“Well appointed cottage in Seaside, less than a mile from beautiful urban walking trails & ocean/beach access. Easy drive to Monterey as well. Found tons of delicious local eateries too. Had some trouble accessing property upon arrival, perhaps because we were 30 minutes early or because our welcome email had the incorrect code. Instructions were a little unclear, you have to use the back door. Property management company answered promptly and we got an updated code very quickly. Minor feedback...

“We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Everything was clean and comfortable. In my opinion the highlights were the fireplace and the garden. The kitchen was also great, wish we had stayed longer so we could’ve cooked in it. Would definitely stay again if we ever return to Carmel by the sea, which we hope to do one day!”

It has a well stocked kitchen, an area I could work remotely from, beautifully landscaped yard, and its in a great neighborhood just a few minutes drive to the beach. In addition to this, it was great being able to bring our dog with us for our stay. Would recommend this home for anyone looking to get away.”

“The view alone is worth staying here. We had both back doors open any time we were there. The layout is perfect for enjoying the sound of the waves and the view of the sunset. The house is also perfectly located for being able to do day trips to San Francisco or Big Sur. If you are looking for a place to stay that is cozy and has amazing views you found it.”

“If the Whalers Cottage isn’t the definition of the word “CHILL!”, then I don’t know what else it could be! The soothing sounds of the ocean, crackling fireplace and solitude are outstanding and re-energizing! A fantastic place to come and decompress for couples or the family!
