A beautiful and functional central Texas hideaway with large outdoor deck

  • Fully renovated in winter 2022. Heron House has waterfront access to the Blanco River. Riverside firepit, a great outdoor deck with a cowboy pool, hot tub, chaise lounges, a shaded lounge area, outdoor games, luxurious linens, and spa-like bathrooms. Relaxation and Texas Hill Country charm. A short 5-minute drive to Blanco's downtown square, Heron House is also conveniently located, with easy access to all the shopping, dining, wineries/breweries/distilleries, and events that lovely Blanco has to offer. Johnson City, Fredericksburg, Wimberley, and Dripping Springs are nearby as is Blanco State Park, Pedernales Falls State Park, and the Hill Country Lavender Farm.

4th of July Weekend

Great property with all the amenities of home! Weekend was a rainout and we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor amenities but the home was comfy and cozy. Thankfully there were great restaurants nearby.

This place has everything you need for a great stay. The owners have made it a spa like retreat. Would definitely stay here again.

Family weekend

We enjoyed our stay in Blanco. Great location! I had a wedding to attend in Dripping Springs and it was a short drive to the venue. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool and the outside green area.

Great Place to Stay

The privacy and the view from the back deck is just so relaxing! The hot tub and fire pit allow you to enjoy the cooler weather outside! The house is clean and very nice! The location is great for the local wineries and distilleries!

Perfect Country Getaway

We had a great experience on this property. The home was amazing and had everything we needed indoors and outdoors. We were only 25 minutes from the wineries, and the backroad is a pleasant scenic drive. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some R&R.

Beautiful house! Perfect for our 3 day weekend exploring Blanco and the surrounding area. Paul and Sarah were always on hand if we needed anything. Definitely will stay here again.

Beautiful retreat on the river

From the minute that we entered The Heron House, we were sure by subtle beauty and country elegance. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked. We literally spent hours on the back deck observing wildlife. At dusk, the fireflies rose up from the wooded area and sparkled in the air. It was a lovely stay, and I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect House Parfect Location

This house is beautifully furnished, and has with comfortable beds. The deck has great seating and dining options. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the towns all around the Hill Country. I would definitely stay at this property again and will recommend it to my friends.

Perfect getaway

We stayed in Blanco for my daughters wedding. We needed a place large enough to hold all her flowers and in a peaceful area to relax before the craziness. It was the perfect place! With outside entertainment and comfy beds: we had an incredible stay! We will definitely book again as it has so much to offer and the hosts were incredible!

Nice House

It’s a very nice and clean house. It’s very easy to communicate with the owner if you have any questions. The way to the second fire pit by the river has a walkway so you’re not walking through the grass which is really nice. Would recommend staying here!
