  • Built in 1920 as a sharecropper's house, it has been lovingly brough back to life. A beautiful retreat from Current Times 1-bedroom house. Nestled in a peaceful setting, guests can unwind in the serene atmosphere, unique with antiques, decor and misc. items like a turn table with ample albums to listen to. The cozy bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, while the living room offers an additional space with a sofa bed for extra guests. Enjoy modern amenities like WiFi, heating, and AC during your stay. Fall in love with Blanco and enjoy the magic it has to offer.

Amazing home with everything you need. The host has thought of everything and it is easy to see how much heart has gone into the property. We will be staying there again.

What an amazing home! It is beautiful and filled with so many fun pieces. It is super convenient to the Buggy Museum, lavender farm, downtown, etc. The host, Deb, is so thoughtful and wonderful to work with. We can't wait to go back!

I cant come up with enough superlatives for the cottage, and Deb the owner. Everything about Ethyl’s Place is so well thought out and vibrates with the loving time, energy and creativity that was put into restoring this valuable little piece of Blanco History. You will have a sweet special time at Ethyl’s Place!

Ethyl’s Place feels like so warm & cozy like home! We played scrabble & listened to records during our stay. Deb is a fabulous host! She decorated for Easter and had snacks upon arrival. We had such great time and will definitely be back!

This house is so adorable and clean! I also loved the added touch of all the Christmas decorations. The host was easy to get a hold of and even left some snacks upon arrival. We had a great stay and hope to stay again in the future.

Wonderful little cottage in the heart of Blanco. So clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again during a visit to the area.

Cute and Centrally Located

Cute home, clean interior, great location, and within a quick drive of several State Parks, local breweries, and local eateries. Comfortable bed, great amenities, and accommodating host. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Ethyl's Place is a cozy, vintage, small-town dream! If you choose to stay here make sure you read Deb's renovation story paired with the picture album of her journey; it's gives you invaluable insight and appreciation for the home! Deb left us (and our dogs) goodies and had everything else well stocked :)

House was great, very clean, beautifully decorated. The neighborhood was not the best in town, but overall a very relaxing/cozy home and host was very helpful and attentive.
