Family time in Canyon Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our kid's were entertained with the games and the exciting hikes to the river. The views were gorgeous and we felt refreshed from the quiet time and tranquility. We loved everything about the nature and the beauty of the property! I highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Place

From the very beginning, Lazy H Retreats was so easy to work with. They responded very quickly to inquiries. The house had everything we needed and was in a good location to everything we wanted to do. The stairway down to the river was amazing but there were ALOT of steps. Going down was easy, but coming up was a not as easy. Thankfully there are rest benches along the way back up!

Great view

Place is nice, clean and quiet. The lawn needs to be mowing outside the extra equipment such as games and kayaks are not in good conditions. Me and my boyfriend loved the view and how peaceful the place was. The backyard has a huge stairs with access to the river pretty nice.

Exactly as listed, clean, what you see is what you get. If it looks "for you" on the photos, just book it. Those stairs to the water are way longer than they look btw!

Whitewater Amphitheater

The house is very spacious & comfortable & has everything you need. It could use some work on the deck as some of the boards are rotting out & could become unsafe. Also the cleaning was not the best . The bathroom downstairs had some mold & the ceiling fans were dirty. Also the grill on the deck was horrible. If these things were fixed it would be a great place to stay

My family and I were really looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The pictures posted are very deceiving. The downstairs rooms only have one actual door — the rest just have open walkways where you can see straight through to the other side, offering no privacy at all. The upstairs room has a barn door, but it doesn’t close securely and can easily be pushed open, which isn’t ideal if you’re all adults wanting some privacy.The stairs going down to the river are extremely steep and not safe for small children or anyone not used to steep climbs. They were also very dirty, covered with animal droppings and spider webs. One of the steps even broke when my uncle stepped on it, causing him to almost his ankle.We were really excited about the river access, which was the main reason we booked this place, but that was also disappointing. There were no paddles for the canoe, broken chairs, and lots of trash around the area, so we didn’t even stay down there. When I asked, I was told that no one really maintains or cleans that area.Inside, several of the kitchen cookware items were in bad shape, and the grill shown in the pictures was in terrible condition. We had planned to grill most of our meals during our stay, but that ended up being very difficult. Around the property, there were spider webs everywhere—some spots worse than others. The sprinkler system also had an awful smell, almost like it was using septic water, which was unbearab

Inaccurate listing. Please read before booking.

This house has 4 bedrooms, not 5 as advertised. 2 bedrooms have queen beds, One bedroom has a trundle bed and a queen bed. The upstairs twin bedroom has two curtains instead of doors. This room is in between the kitchen and front door and lacks privacy, this is not pictured. There is a game room but it does not have a bed in it. The deck was painted the day before our stay and notes instructed to stay off the wet deck on our first night. All the patio furniture was moved downstairs-in the garage. Outdoor lights were burnt out (which someone did come and replace the next day). The last morning of our stay landscapers arrived at 730AM to work and trim trees and were very loud. The house was overall clean and well stocked. The property management company is very responsive although there is not much they offer other than apologies when things are not working properly or their listing is not accurately posted online. I should mention, prior to booking I called and spoke with them and was assured the house had 5 bedrooms. Unfortunately, they are not familiar with the actual layout of the house. This is the second time we have rented a house from this co. At another house last year, the heat pump was broken in their heated pool. They could not repair it and offered us their apologies, even though I spoke with their office prior to booking and was assured the heated pool was fully functional. It really takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. Hopefully it helps someone.
