“This is the worse hotel i’ve ever stayed in! There was a plate of beans and chips on a chair in one of the ‘lounge areas’ from the night we checked in (could have been there longer!) until the morning we left, which obviously was beginning to smell awful! The room was fine, it was clean, but awfully musty and stuffy. “The location is great as it is very central to the town. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. Very clean room which had everything that I needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely cooked breakfast, too. ”

“We thought we’d booked a room and were given a suite on two floors which was novel. The staff were great and the breakfast fine. Dinner was excellent although a little expensive although I may be poor of date. We didn’t have time to try the pool but it looked good. You do have to book a time slot. We would stay again but prefer a room in the main house.”

“was unable to sleep in the bed as the room had a major issue with black mould in the bathroom which had become airborne & affected the the entire room the smell was over powering slept in a chair as the bed was cover with the black mould smell & was unable to breath, suffer with chest infections which the spores got on my chest I had to call 111 & was directed to Ipswich hospital for antibiotics, never even stopped for breakfast on day 2 felt to ill on antibiotics for next 5 days, this all...

“We only stayed for 1 night but we were so impressed with how comfy, clean and spacious the lodge was and also the location of the hotel such a beautiful setting with the castle very close by really picturesque. Hotel staff were brilliant very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast which was included in the price was delicious and the eggs Benedict were perfect with a nice runny yolk. We’ll definitely stay again as Orford is such a beautiful quaint place to visit.”
