“I came here to visit the universities, and the hotel forgot to clean my room. I mentioned around noon that they should clean it before my second tour, which was at 5:00 PM, but they still didn’t do it. I was very frustrated; the customer service was poor, and the reception staff were unhelpful when it came to assisting customers. The supervisor was unable to resolve anything, and the manager was completely absent. I do not recommend this hotel.”

“Excellent location and very responsive hosts. The unit does not have its own thermostat which was problematic. Opening and closing the windows was how we controlled the temperature once we got tired of messaging the host every time it needed adjusting. Upgrade to bath towels would be a good investment, otherwise everything was fine. The electric door lock broke and owners were unable to repair it during our stay. They provided a key which was an excellent solution. Overall good experience and...

“For two senior citizens this was perfect! Wooded area just minutes from our relatives’ home, quiet, full accommodations, and sweet treats. I’m guessing house is c. 1950 with eclectic decor. Only one bedroom had TV but not a problem for us. Our host was very good about responding to all questions. We plan to stay again next year if available.”

“The property was well laid out. Had all the amenities that me and my family needed. Some of the best sleep my wife and I have had in a while. The location to UNC and dining was perfect. Would highly recommend this property to any family traveling to the area.”

“We came to the Rizzo for freshman move in weekend at UNC chapel hill. Already a bit emotional, I was immediately greeted by a warm and friendly front desk staff associate who greeted me with a smile and several cold bottled waters (for myself and the rest of the family who was still in the car). This was just the beginning of an amazing experience. The room was amazing. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the room was gorgeous and the amenities were top notch. The pool was clean and relaxing....

“We enjoyed a quick stay in Chatham County. It was very clean inside, despite the age of the home. The porches and porch chairs could have used a hose off before we arrived! It is very close to the road, but the host was thoughtful and provided a sound machine and earplugs in the bedside drawers. Very comfortable bed. It was a great little place.”

“A great place to stay! The home was beautiful and rich in culture. On the walls were wonderful pictures and blurbs detailing the significance of the people and local history. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of mugs, dishes and silverware (enough for 12). Across the street is Brandwein's Bagels that taste like they came from NY. We walked one block to Franklin Street where we explored the UNC campus, ate and shopped. We hope to be back soon.”
