The property was clean and tidy and we were fortunate to be able to check in ahead of schedule, but the uncovered windows allowing anyone who desired to watch our activity made us feel exposed and vulnerable. Our concern was relayed to to the property manager who stated the uncovered windows are intentional in their attempt to keep the aesthetic Kosher.
The noise from the contractors building two houses directly behind the rental property as well as repairs being made to the house directly In front of the property was unbearable. From 8:00 - 5:00, the skill saws, air nailers, and workers hammering and yelling directives sounded like it was coming from an adjoining room, forcing us to raise our voices to each other to be heard, and any afternoon nap a futile effort. The notice we received in advance that a neighbor was working on their home; grossly understated what we were forced to endure.
My Facebook page, Charlestonian Review, provides photo and videos to corroborate my claims.
The appliances are quite modern and a great deal of time and frustration encompassed the simple task of using the oven to cook a frozen entrée. A set of instructions for the oven, washer & dryer would have been most helpful.
Considering what we paid to stay here, we were very disappointed with the unwelcome exposure to passerbys and the incessant construction noise.
