My friend and her husband booked the second of the two cabins for two days. However, when we arrived the only reservation on record was mine and the other cabin had been booked. When presented with the confirmation number and receipt, the manager stated that she had family issues but that it was no excuse for double booking. She admitted her mistake and offered to find another comparable hotel in the area for my friend and husband. The other option was to share the cabin and she would only charge us for one night. She also offered to purchase adult beverages to compensate for the inconvenience.
We took the second option but as of yet, have not been refunded the one night stay. Nor did we receive any “beverages”. The morning of checkout, she drove off at the same time of our departure. She did not stop to thank us or inquire about our stay. While the property is nice, integrity and customer service should be a priority.
