“Lovely staff member on check in and put. Had a great chat. Room was obviously refurbished and all looked good. Needed areas where old room heater and shower taps had been taken out refilled and painted. We found the bed a bit soft, but we love a firm bed. Parking outside and location was amazing. Walk across the road to best pub - The Hibernian (Hibo) and to newsagents etc.”

“Excellent hosts”

“Room was nice and roomy with ample space to spread out our suitcases. The standard of the Room is a bit dated and could do with some freshening up, such as a new toilet and cistern. The kitchenette is a blessing.”

“The building and facilities are very good. Several electric vehicle trickle chargers are available in site. One downside is the limited parking and the difficulty of parking near room when returning at night.”

“Clean and tidy. Lots of considerations of misc items (condiments, hair straightener etc) - Would recommend! ”

“Well presented room, very clean and neat, very good and comfortable bed and a good nights sleep and a quiet night too”

“Easy overnight. Fella behind the bar (Mark?) was lovely and helpful. The stay was just what we wanted it to be. Short and sweet!.”

“Good”

“The bed needs replacing. I was literally lying straight on springs. I'm not a fan of torture to toughen up. Come on, it's been a long day driving, give me a decent bed!”

“There is a small enclosed yard, but it is not attached to the house. Dog had to be on a lead to get to the yard, which was challenging at night. there are many other dogs on the property and although contained, they barked a lot at night. The space did not feel private as there are many other dwellings on the property. Would suit a small dog ok, but not our dog of working breed.”
