I booked 2 rooms. My business partner arrived on time but I was hours behind due to mechanical issues. I arrived at 3 am. I had already paid in full for both rooms and the hotel would not let me check in or refund me. Again these rooms were already paid for so the hotel canceled my reservation for late check in...kept the money...and rented the room to someone else. I booked another room by paying again but the money for the original reservation is gone. I would have been fine losing the day but they took the whole week. Mr. Patel would not budge. As a courtesy...refunding the unused days while I booked another would maybe have been nice but of course courtesy is not in fashion these days. Apparently this is a hilton thing. Ill follow up with corporate but im sure nothing will be done...kinda like the red light buttons for pedestrians...its there just to make you think you're doing something. Will never stay there again and will inform my folks not to either.
