Inside, the cabin blends rustic character with modern comfort, featuring exposed beams in the great room, warm hardwood floors, and a cozy wood-burning fireplace that makes evenings especially magical. The living room includes a comfortable sofa bed for children or additional guests.

Step outside to relax in the serene outdoor gathering area, where the sound of the creek creates the perfect backdrop for slow mornings and memorable evenings with loved ones. Enjoy a charcoal grill and picnic table for simple outdoor meals surrounded by nature.

The cabin also includes a fully remodeled bathroom with a walk-in shower, a convenient laundry area, and everything you need for a relaxing and memorable stay.

For dining, the closest local favorite is The Fox Den, just a 12-minute drive away.
The charming mountain town of Hot Springs is about 20–25 minutes away, known for its hiking, restaurants, and natural beauty. For larger grocery stores, shopping, and more dining options, Newport is about 30–35 minutes from the cabin.

We want your stay to be relaxing and enjoyable. Please review the following guidelines to help keep the home safe and comfortable for everyone.

Parking

Please avoid parking directly under the tree canopy after unloading your vehicle. While the trees are healthy, strong winds can occasionally cause branches to fall. Parking in the open area helps prevent potential damage to vehicles, especially during the winter months.

Fire Safety

• No candles are allowed inside the property to prevent fire hazards.
• If smoking outside, please collect and properly dispose of all cigarette butts. Do not throw them on the ground.
• Be extremely careful with charcoal from the grill and fireplace ashes. Always ensure they are completely extinguished before disposing of them. Place ashes away from the home and dry leaves.
• A fire extinguisher is located in the cabinet on the far left under the kitchen sink (marked with a fire sign).

Internet & Phone

• Fiber optic Wi-Fi is available.
• There is no cellular reception in the area, but most phones work well using Wi-Fi calling.
• Wi-Fi password is located in the house binder and on the modem.
• A landline phone is available for emergencies.

Fireplace Use

• Before lighting the fireplace, make sure the chimney flue is open.
• The lever slides left to right horizontally.
• Smoke should go up the chimney easily. If it does not, check that the flue is fully open.

Extra firewood is available by exiting the deck and turning left around the corner, through the access door under the foyer window.

Space Heaters

• Additional space heaters are available if needed.
• Do not leave heaters unattended.
• Keep them away from furniture, fabrics, rugs, and walls.
• Turn OFF all plug-in heaters when leaving the house or checking out.

Kitchen Information

• The IKEA induction cooktop only works with stainless steel cookware.
• In case of a power outage, there is a mini gas stove and flashlight in the cabinet left of the kitchen sink.
• Pots with orange handles are intended for use with this stove.

Other kitchen items:
• Coffee maker available (coffee not provided).
• Washer and dryer available (laundry detergent not provided).

TV & Entertainment

The TV has movies loaded on a USB drive.

Sofa Bed Linens

If you are using the sofa bed, linens are located in the storage compartment on the chaise lounge side. Lift from the short bottom edge to open.

Studio Access

The studio keys are located on the pig hooks in the foyer.

Trash

• An overflow trash can is located near the grill area.
• Please place only bagged trash inside and secure the lid tightly to prevent animals from accessing it.

If needed, the local town dump is about 1 mile away on Hwy 25 toward Newport, located on the right side after a curve.

Security Cameras

Exterior cameras are active until guest check-in to ensure property safety and a smooth arrival process.

Checkout Instructions

Before leaving, please help us prepare the home for the next guests:

• Return any moved furniture to its original location.
• Place all dishes in the dishwasher.
• Clean any spills.
• Place used towels and linens in the washer and leave the lid open.
• Remove all perishable food from the refrigerator.
• Place all trash in garbage bags and secure them in the outdoor trash can.
• Check the house for personal belongings.
• Close all windows.
• Close and lock the studio door.

Thermostat Settings

• Spring / Summer: Cool at 80°F
• Fall / Winter: Heat at 70°F

• Lock the main door when leaving.
