“For the price we paid everything was good. Decent room and food was good. The bathroom could of done with freshening up as grout was grubby and toilet felt very low. The lady on reception was fantastic and very helpful even finding us a dmall heater as the room was quite cool and my husband has cancer and feels the cold ”

“I booked this hotel as a birthday treat for my son and his girlfriend, and they had an amazing time. The service was outstanding – they were made to feel so welcome from the moment they arrived. It really made the occasion feel extra special, and I just wanted to say thank you to the team for looking after them so well. I’m now really looking forward to visiting myself soon with my wife – can’t wait!”

“We stayed for a week over Christmas. The room was clean, comfy and fairly modern. The staff were amazing; helpful and respectful every time we spoke to them. The breakfast was good; selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit and pastries for a light breakfast. Sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans if you wanted something hot. Overall, excellent value for money!”

“It was snowing when we arrived. The room was very cold because of no heating. I returned to reception, complained and the heating was connected, After a few hours the room heated up. At 2 am I woke up. The room was very cold and without heating. I called reception for more that 30 minutes but no one answered. In the morning I complained. The hotel answered that there was nothing that could be done. No shampoo in the room. I will not return. Not recommendable.”

“We stayed in the Linwood Suite for 1 night. The room was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast was of a high quality. The room is immediately above the function area and noise travels easily (there was a wedding reception) - we weren't warned about this previously but it was not a problem as we went out to dinner and the noise quietened down before midnight. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by loud noise in the room. It was a mechanical noise which sounded like a generator...

“Fabulous cottage within walking distance of beautiful walking trails, historical buildings and landmarks and of course the amazing and friendly community run pub, shop and library. Beautifully presented and appointed cottage with a sun-trap of a garden overlooking glorious rolling countryside. Owner Alex is super responsive and helpful - 100% recommend this lovely home.
