“Room was great value for price paid. Main requirement was to sleep and not chill within room for too long. Room was small but very clean with nice shower and hair/body wash to make use of. Window in room was an extra cost. It was covered so you could not see out of it. Overall i would definetely stay again.”

“We thought we’d booked a room and were given a suite on two floors which was novel. The staff were great and the breakfast fine. Dinner was excellent although a little expensive although I may be poor of date. We didn’t have time to try the pool but it looked good. You do have to book a time slot. We would stay again but prefer a room in the main house.”

“Wonderful clean room with many amenities. Exceptional dinner and breakfast all served by very friendly staff. Hotel is in a beautiful setting with lovely large patio, plenty of outside comfortable seating with marvellous views across the gardens. Second time we have stayed here and will definitely be back again!”

They do appear to have a programme of renovations in hand, but our corner room had several cracked window panes and dated furnishings. The sink does not have a mixer tap, and the hot water is scalding, while there is almost no water pressure for the shower. “Kesgrave Hall is,a beautiful place.Unfortunately there was a few things that would of made us enjoy our stay more.The garden was lovely but it was a beautiful day and the only place we could sit to drink our delicious Apparrel Sprits and Dark and Stormy drinks were in the Smoking area it would of been nice to have somewhere more casual to sit and enjoy the ambience. “Even though there are positives in that this hotel is located in a quiet area and has ample parking I do not know how it is rated a 4 star. The decor is from the 70’s and needs a serious update. Even though the website says there is a fan in the room I had to go down to reception and ask for one. The carpets need replacing and there is no ramp into the reception area so you have to carry any luggage up and down stairs. No fridge in the room either. “Bar was well stocked with what ever you required. There was not a beach view as it was on the street leading to the beach.The room was clean and compacted and the staff were very good and helpful.”

“Two criticisms of the bathroom. The soap and shampoo bottles were unreachable when I was having a bath. Far too high, only useful for a shower or at the basin. Also the non slip patches in the bath were very uncomfortable to sit on. Did the designer of the bath ever try to take a bath??”
