“We came to Suffolk to do some family tree research and Orford was a great place to stay. Although there wasn't dedicated parking, there was always plenty of space in the market square. The village itself is a lovely place to stay, with plenty of places to walk and explore. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and well equipped. ”

“Lovely house in a lovely location but we had a few issues. The property details said there was a barbecue which had planned to use. There was no barbecue! Instead we had to use the ovens in the kitchen. Both ovens were very dirty one of them filled the kitchen with acrid smoke as soon as we turned it on . It was such a shame because the standards of cleanliness elsewhere in the property were very high. With a barbecue and a clean oven this would have been a pretty much perfect house.”

“Owls nest is ideal accommodation for a couple looking for a relaxing getaway. Very tranquil being situated in tga very rural part of Suffolk. Great base to explore the area. We will definitely be back.”

“Our extended family of five adults stayed for one week at Quay View. The location was wonderful as we expected from having lived in Orford in 1982-1984. We loved walking around the town and along the trails, eating at the Jolly Sailor, and taking day trips to explore other areas of Suffolk. Overall the home was lovely, but several issues factor in to a less than stellar review. We felt "nickeled and dimed" with added fees for things that other properties might regularly include. “All perfect and relaxing. Quiet rural setting that allowed us to visit all the Suffolk places we wanted to go. We walked miles through forests, across cliff tops, along country lanes and the sun was shining every day. All wonderful.”

“We have had a great week. Our first stay at Woodbridge and we really enjoyed being able to leave the car and walk into town for supplies and meals out. Fab walks and trips to various places along the Suffolk coast...Minsmere, Aldeburgh, Thorpness, Orford as well as river walk in Woodbridge. We found the house comfortable, with enough pots and pans etc...for our needs. Upstairs bathroom was a little unusual but it worked! Some proper wine glasses needed.”

“Everything we needed was provided. We did bump our heads a couple of times on the low door frames and had to take care upstairs, because of the different levels of steps. We purchased a weekly parking permit to park in the public parking area by the rec center. When we needed to load/unload it was challenging at times to navigate the car down the narrow street, especially with some parked cars sticking further out. Overall though a lovely cottage.”

“Accommodation was lovely except 3rd bedroom was more a cupboard with a curtain, no door, and a camp bed with metal cross bars that you could feel. Situation was perfect, close to river and town centre. Garden was not secure for my dogs as there was access via gates both sides to neighbours and both gates were left open one night. Parking was on the very narrow road, all full when I arrived and double yellow lines everywhere meant I was ready to go home as I couldn’t park away from the property...

“We couldn’t get a better location for all the attractions we wanted to do. the apartment had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay and the gardens were beautiful! would we stay again - you bet!”
